There aren't any collections yet, Knightfall hasn't even made her first appearance in Batgirl yet!![]()
Pull list:
Adventure Time, Batgirl, Batman & Robin, BOP, Earth 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, He-Man, Katana, Nightwing, Shadowman, Swamp Thing, The Ultimates, Ultimate Spider-Man, Worlds' Finest
I can post pics when my DCBS order gets here.
Which reminds me I never received a tracking number but it normally arrives on the Friday following the last Wednesday (which is today) but sometimes gets pushed back to the Monday.
Haven't ordered it yet but saw it at the LCS today. I was extremely disapointed to see it doesn't use nice glossy paper like the new No Mans Lans editions but still has the crappy newsprint. I will still probably get it because I have been waiting for the new edition to finally read Knightfall but I definitely am disapointed.![]()
I am not sure I believe this. The reports I heard is that it IS glossy. DC finally seems to have abandoned the old newspaper print. The recently released Venom TPB was glossy.
I have gone to several bookstores around town and have noticed that MANY of them have quite a few of the original Knightfall TPBs for sale. All of them with the old newspaper print and in new quaility which suggests they are pnew printings. I am suggesting that it might be possible you saw one of those and are mistaking it for the new edition.

Sorry, man. Didn't cross my mind.I don't remember exactly, but I think I recall conflicting reports on if the original (Kelley Jones) covers were going to be included. Did you happen to notice?
Nope. I'm well aware of what the old volumes look like. Can you point me to these "reports" that say it is glossy because the one I looked at was most definitely not(glossy = modern TPB/HC paper and newsprint equals junky stuff like in the old editions no?).
I really don't think you mean newsprint (i.e., the same quality that newspapers are printed on). The only thing I'm award of that's printed on anything like newsprint are the Showcase volumes and to a lesser extent the Chronicles (though even the latter seem to be a slightly higher grade).
Personally, I don't like glossy paper.

Ah, perhaps my terminology is off. I'm not familiar with Showcase volume paper. All I know is that it wasn't the nice smooth paper like in my new NML edition(thing was awful light for 600 pages too).
EDIT: This dude describes it as "the Showcase format". http://srmanniac.tumblr.com/

Well that f**king pisses me off.
DC can take that cheap crappy paper and shove it up their you-know-what. I was the most excited person in the world to get this release and then DC pulls this crap.
I HATE HATE HATE that paper with a passion.
Its cheap and ages quicker than raw meat.
My enthusiasm for this release is now non-existant.
Thanks DC for nothing. On the bright side I won't waste my money.

I assume it will be the same matte stock as the recently released Chase TPB. If it is, it should be just fine. We'll see in a few days, it looks like Amazon is shipping it today.
