Knightfall New Edition

Hey guys I just wanted to confirm with you guys something. According to the solicits for the new edition of Knigthfall it says it will reprint certain issues in the solicits:

And then here on Wikipedia under the comics spanning the entire story arc it doesn't synch up with what the solicits say. Heck it mixes and matches issues between Broken Bat and Who rules the night where it doesn't seem to follow a logical pattern to it.

For example the solicits promises like ten issues of Batman but only two issues of 'Tec?

No surprise there, considering that Knightfall doesn't really make any kind of sense without Bane's origin story.

I'd love to see the whole Knightfall story get an omnibus treatment.

It's one of the most deserving mega-arcs out there, and it falls in that awkward period where DC wasn't collecting everything in trade but the stories are confusing as released. I mean, if you skip from Knightfall to Knightsend you lose all perspective as to where Jean Paul Valley and Bruce Wayne are at this point.

And there's something really cool and unique about a Bruce Wayne story where his physicality is taken off the table. Knightquest: The Search emphasizes Bruce's wit and determination in a way few stories do.

So can anyone collaborate if the majority of the issues listed on the solicits are before Knightfall proper? Reason I want confirmation is because I am planning on pre-ordering from Amazon along with vol.2 which hasn't had its solicits published as of yet and what to be certain they don't cut out issues from the original trades.

It's a shame the stories are so poor.

The way the stories have been collected up thusfar really seems a disservice to readers in two ways:

1.) As you mentioned, it really short changes Bruce's tine out of the cape and cowl, and,
2.) It doesn't really show the progression of Jean Paul Valley's character after he became Batman. The trades show him taking over the mantle of the bat, then jump forward to where he's gone off the rails. Missing are all the stories that sort of slowly build to the confrontation we see in Knight's End -- and the lack of those stories doesn't help a reader build any sense of empathy for Valley's character.

this! I am really interested in this trade and everything around it including Bane. Just really don't want to go online or various booths at wondercon this year to try to put it together nor do I know what all I need to get the whole treatment.

Its likely a misprint.

It will likely just be a giant book that combines Broken Bat and Who Rules the Night and Vengeance of Bane. It would have been better if it also included some of the issues leading up to Knightfall.
