Just noticed this trend in the past few years, where characters once associated with a single book (and thus, a single creative team having the most control of their fate) are now on multiple concurrent teams. It's not just Wolverine any more, as seen by the following examples;
Hank Pym: Avengers Academy, Secret Avengers
Hawkeye: Avengers Academy, Secret Avengers, Adjectiveless Avengers
Ultimate Hawkeye: Ultimate Avengers (until recently), New Ultimates
Luke Cage: New Avengers, Thunderbolts (not sure if he's still there)
Beast: Secret Avengers, Wolverine's X-Men
Psylocke: X-Force, Uncanny X-Men (if upcoming covers are any indication)
Thing: Fantastic Four/Future Foundation, New Avengers
Namor: Uncanny X-Men, Defenders
Iron Fist: New Avengers, Defenders
Dr. Strange: New Avengers, Defenders
Storm: Uncanny X-Men, Adjectiveless Avengers
Anyone I'm forgetting, especially from the DC Universe? I'm not sure if Batman, Incorporated counts as a proper super-team or not.
