    Default Huntress: Wayne or Bertinelli

Who would you like the Huntress to be daughter of Bruce Wayne of Earth 2 or the daughter of a Mafia Don?

Helena Wayne was the Huntress who introduced me to the character and I liked her daughter of Earth 2 Batman and Catwoman version very much.

Upon reading material like Bertinelli's original post-CoIE series, I was quite cool to her. But she has really won me over with most of her appearances since the mid-90's or so. Especially Gail Simone's use of her in the first run of Birds of Prey.

Though Bertinelli has some cool gal pal connections herself, one thing I do miss a bit is the special friendship between Huntress and Power Girl that exists in Wayne's version. I'd like to see that established anew. But even so, it's not enough to offset the things I enjoyed about the modern Huntress. So Bertinelli for me.

This is pretty much how I feel about it. I first met Helena Wayne wearing the purple and blue and through her back up feature in Wonder Woman she became a favorite character. However the Crisis came and she went away.
We finally got another Huntress who was just a tad on the bitter side there for a while but she got over her chip on her shoulder (mostly) and really won my heart over mostly through her interaction with Tim and then the Birds. Greg and then Gail really did a lot to bring out the real potential for her.
I do miss the strong friendship that existed between Huntress and Power Girl and often would have liked for Bertinelli to make that connection with Power Girl (if only for the story it would provide with the dislike between PG and Oracle.)
I like this Huntress as Helena Bertinelli. Would I read a comic about Helena Wayne...absolutely. But I still like Ms. Bertinelli in this lead.

    Bertinelli.

I feel I can relate to her better, and I especially love the fact she's Italian.

Other: A MAN! Though either choice is fine really, as long as they stick to their own earth.

I love Bertinelli too much. And this version definitely reads like her more than Helena Wayne. The passport says Bertinelli (but maybe it's fake or a mistake), she's in the Bertinelli costume (why would Helena Wayne have a giant crucifix on her?) and the personal connection to Italy and the mob is all Bertinelli (unless it turns out in this continuity the mob killed Batman and Catwoman). People seize on things like "I'm a cat person" meaning she's Catwoman's daughter. But maybe she dated Catman. Or maybe she just likes cats and it is just a silly little fakeout.

I don't know what the JSA title will end up being like. Are they the first generation of super heroes on Earth 2? If they are, then Helena Wayne can't possibly be the daughter of Batman and Catwoman because they won't have been active in that continuity yet, or at least not long enough to have a grown daughter. Unless the title is set in "the past" but then there's not much reason to write Helena Wayne since she won't be able to be on that team. But maybe on Earth 2, super heroes have already been around for a few generations. If that's the case then it could be her.

    Of course she's Helena Bertinelli.

It might be interesting if a Helena Wayne popped up in Batman Beyond, though.

I voted other, I would like to see both. I grew up with Bertinelli, but I've read some of Waynes. Ther is no reason we can't have both. The one easily fits in with our Bat family, the other could or should be a part of Earth 2s JSA.

Bertinelli. She's the one I read when I got into comics, she's the one I watched on JLU, she's the one I care about.

I expressed this in the Huntress #4 thread, but if they pull a bait and switch, and give me Helena Wayne, man am I going to be pissed.

Pretty much exactly this. I am so very worried that this is going to be Helena Wayne (whom I have no prioblem with I just don't want this Huntress to be her) and I will feel cheated by DC if she is. I will sulk for days at least if this is Helena Wayne.

    Why not both?!?

On Earth-2, Huntress is the daughter of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle Wayne.

On the DCnU Earth, she's Helena Bertinelli (no relation to the Jenny Craig spokesperson).

I definitely have to go with Bertinelli. I first got introduced to her in the JLU cartoon. I didn't even know there was another Huntress until recently.
