Last year I was considering buying the drawer boxes, but there's no store close by that carries them and the cost of shipping would be too prohibitive. So I bought some long drawer file cabinets. For many years I've had most of my collection in short boxes on shelves, with some in long boxes as well. So this year I've been slowly transferring them from the boxes into the cabinets. Maybe by the end of 2013 I'll get this done. And then I'll have more room for all my books, ha!

    Let's see how I did.

Still working on this one. I did read almost a thousand Spider-Man comics this year. Am continuing to chug along. Be on the look out for my personal list of the 100 best Spider-Man stories once I'm done.

I've also made a draft of my 50 favorite comic sags. I'd like to read through those and see how much I still agree.
Hit this pretty well, I think. Didn't read them all, but read a good chunk. A few things I still puzzle over. Some great works I appreciate more than love, and some childhood favorites I love more than appreciate. Hard to get one ordering out of everything. But getting there.

And then several runs I've completed but haven't read. Including Ostrander's Firestorm.
Oops. I'll add this to my 2013 goals.

Also to continue working my way through Marvel's Conan in trade.
Still chugging along on this as well.

And classic Batmans collected in Batman Chronicles. Beyond that, I hope to read and reread a lot of Batman comics. I'd like as good a sense of his comics as I have of Spidey or X-Men.
Chugging along on the Batman Chronicles and slowly filling in my back issue collection. Getting toward having Batman back to issue 300 and Detective back to issue 400. But I didn't read many Batman comics this year outside of Batman chronicles. I'll get to it.

Crazy how different my year of reading turned out from what I had anticipated last year.

Filled in the Swamp Thing run, but haven't bothered with Moon Knight. I became far more focused on runs like Master of Kung Fu, the Giffin/DeMatteis Justice League, and the Post-Crisis Superman.

[*]Start working on the Kree/Skrull War and Korvac Saga
Never did. Might get to it next year.

[*]start working on the Planet of the Apes magazine run
Kicked that one's a$$ and read and reviewed nearly all of them to boot!

[*]Pick up any inexpensive Warren mags I can find (I missed out on SO MANY a few years back. I didn't know!)
Got so many I realized I won't get around to reading them anytime soon and eventually stopped actively seeking them out. I still have PILES of Creepy and Eerie to read.

[*]Maybe work on Tomb of Dracula
    Lost interest in even trying.

So yeah, very different year from what I anticipated, and I like where I went a lot better than where I was planning to go.
