I love Jim Lee's work, but I've been a fan of Ha's work for a very long time now and I'm definitely looking forward to what he does on the page. Welcome, Gene!

I ain't no hot dog, yo.
Wait, isn't Ha doing #8 as well? He talks about it as if he's only doing #7.![]()
Oddly enough, Juistice League has been one of the worst relaunches. I don't know if these 360000 buyers noticed, and whether they'll be disappointed to drop it or whether they were happy with Lee's art and will be now disappointed by Ha's
Hmm...somewhat disappointed that cyborg wasn't mention in the interview. With him not getting an ongoing, I really want to know what they have planned for the character past the first arc.
Snowstorm Comics is the newest comic book publisher. Releasing their first print "Kindred" from their upcoming comic, "Evolved" you can find out more at snowstormcomics.com
I did want some info on Aquaman, Cyborg and Wonder Woman.... I guess they are planing to make us wait. Batman and GL messing round is cute now but it's gonna get old.
"In the preview that's been released, a lot of people noticed how Batman didn't have a glowing green umbrella over his head. Some people assumed this was because Batman didn't need an umbrella, but frankly, none of the other heroes do. Green Lantern is just having fun and tweaking Batman's pointy black nose every chance he gets. They've definitely gotten to know each other, but they're not quite comfortable yet. And they're more than willing to snap wet towels at each others asses at every chance available."
HA HA HA!
If someone were to actually draw that it would amuse me a lot more than it should.

Johns does realize he's still writing adults right?

Honestly, if it were not for Lee's art (which is good but I find it inferior to earlier work), I think I'd have dropped JLA. So far, the story just hasn't grabbed me.

So Wally West is back, only he's Hal Jordan now?
Or is Hal and Barry the new Blue and Gold?

Fun story. Check
Spectacular art. Check.
Oh yeah. Total cluster frag this thing has been.
Unless you are confusing Justice League with Green Arrow, which can't even manage to do "Smallville" Ollie right, let alone "classic" Ollie. Or maybe you're thinking of Blackhawks, Hawk and Dove or Stormwatch, all of which have been complete drek.
Justice League? It might not be as spectacular as the glory days of the JLU cartoon, but when was the Justice League comic ever that good? The glory days as the JLI and the all-too-brief run by some weird bald guy named Grant are the only points in this series' five decade-long history when it was actually one of the best comics on the market. No one that has actually read the series in the ten years or so since Grant departed should be remotely disappointed in what Geoff & Jim are putting out here. Did you even read the previous series? The guy who wrote the JLU cartoon couldn't get it going. Did you read the 100 or so issues of JLA after Grant left? Is any writer from that era, but Waid, even still working in comics today? Hack after hack. Yikes.
Seriously, if you were expecting the second coming of the Watchmen with this series, you were being foolish. It has never been that good, even at it's best. Johns does big and fun, not critically acclaimed masterpieces that belong on the same shelf as Maus or Love and Rockets. The JL is a big fun summer popcorn movie. The solo books are for the awards and depth. Go read Batman or Wonder Woman.
I'm disappointed that Ha is only doing one issue, but even just one full issue of Justice League from Ha is a real treat. That one double page spread of the team fighting is just jaw-dropping.
I agree with this. "Fun story" and "spectacular art" is pretty much exactly how I would describe this series so far.
I know right?
Seriously? Is it necessary to arbitrarily bash other books to defend Justice League? Stormwatch's execution may not be perfect, but it's clear that Cornell is putting way more thought into his stories than Johns is in Justice League.
I just do not understand at all some of the Stormwatch hate. And the claim that the ideas of Stormwatch are more phoned in than JL strikes me as absurd. So far a single introductory origin issue has been dragged out to introduce the whole "core" of the JL centered around an invasion of aliens up to some yet-to-be-revealed nefarious purpose. Meanwhile, Stormwatch has multiple concurrent mysteries running about the horn, the mystery city, what happened on the moon, the bid for leadership over the team, and so forth.
