That would be awesome. But I doubt Marvel would do anything like that. They would probably put Loeb on the Avengers or NA.

If so..I rather have T'challa in limbo.

I can think of a lot of things I'd rather have then Loeb on a book I enjoy.

BUt look on the bright side; if he does have Black Panher in a book he writes it's actually going to be Captain America in that costume.

NA is to me a noir/street book. It would work. This would take them back to their roots.

Well the thing is NA is a strong brand. Alot of people have handled them well like Aaron,Brubaker and etc..

Panther clearly fits well in the noir categories as he does on the other teams.

It would be a great extension of what is going on in BP right now.

Given that they are whittiling down their books I think it's likely that at least NA will maintain it's noir angle. I am discussing it here b/c I think BP would be GREAT on this team!

My post was simply to point out that, yes, Hawkeye is a good choice for leader over T'Challa. Hawkeye has way more leadership cred than T'Challa, in the end.

I wouldn't say that Hawkeye was the better choice, I would say he was the "SAFER" choice. With Hawkeye you know what you are going to get. And for some they will take safe over the unknown every time.

I find the archetype of leadership in comics ( Psychologically) Interesting.

If you notice..the powerful beings never lead--

Captain America over Thor. Iron Man. Hulk. etc.
Cyclops over Wolverine. Colossus. Emma. Jean.

What follows is the low level characters are then wrapped int heir leadership role. It becomes what defines them. Hence why readership is so reluctant to let the archetype go.

Now going purely objectively..on paper who should lead?

I chose to go DJ'ing and live the gypsy life instead of school.

Pretty much. Though Hawkeye was more experience leading a classic Avengers team. Black Panther is actually more suited to lead the Secret Avengers in my opinion. Same with Black Widow. Actually, it would have been nice is she got the job since she was already on the team.

Folks have to remember that T'challa is a freaking polymath-super-genius who plays chess with his opponents, with enhanced physical prowess and a master of armed and unarmed combat. He is also a King and a master at stealth and tracking.

He is perfectly suited for any team, and he could lead also.
