BTW, some news Lbo may be exciting to hear.
It has been said for a while that they wanted Del Rio to be more aggresive in his character, and he was before he got hurt.
After how much press the Rousey/Tate fight got they are talking about pushing his arm bar as the most dangerous thing ever.
Why is this exciting for lbo? Well, aside from them using Del Rio, there is a woman employed by WWE who recently went heel, and who probably also knows how to put on an armbar.
And it would make sense at this point to team them up.
None of this is guarenteed, but it's being talked about, i imagine the Del Rio bit is probably a sure thing though.

The Eve/Del Rio thing would make sense as it would also be her way of getting back at the Bellas for setting her up when John Cena walked in and heard her confessing to using hi and Zack. Also she said she's after a powerful man with money who can help her get what she wants... I look forward to Ricardo Rodriguez getting increasingly jealous in hilarious ways.

As for the armbar... Cena fucking stood up while it was on. That thing's credibility is shot to shit except when applied to jobbers and jobbers to the stars. Kofi Kingston will tap to it, sure, but Big Show, Cena, Kane and that lot will shake him off from now on.

Off air footage makes you realize that Jerry Lawler is still old school Lawler off script (and I don't mean that idealistically), and that Michael Cole is playing an extension of his real personality on camera.

I think anyone that has met Lawler anywhere that's not a WWE event or PR event would tell you Lawler is dyed in the wall in regards to his attitude and view of "marks". Lawler, Dutch Mantell, Michael PS Hayes and others are relics in this era.

It would still be nice to see Del Rio evolve into a submission specialist. Don't really see that many of those in the WWE these days

However we both know unless it is acknowledged on TV it never happened so if Big Show tapped on a house show, it doesn't matter unless that footage ends up on TV like Primo backstabbing Evan Bourne to win the tag titles.

I also find it sad in January Kofi lasted like 4 minutes with Bryan but Big Show won't tap on TV to him. Of all the people who should be showing some weakness at this point in their careers to shore up the future ranks it's Show. He's not got long left on his tenure given he already left for health reasons before and he doesn't look to be getting any lighter to alleviate the problems to his back and knees. Maybe they should give him another 6 months off to lose 100lbs again.

I think you guys are taking the way the move is presented wrong.
To get a move over, especialy a submission move, it doesn't matter what it did in the past, it matters what it does once the commentary team starts pushing it and when he starts beating guys with it, you can turn a move into a dangerous one after it's shown to be a joke for years, and Del Rio has tapped guys out with it before.
Put him on tv for a few weeks, have him beat people with it, let Cole stfu about whatever non wrestling nonsense he is on about and tell him to put over the armbar, soon enough, the move is over.
Especialy since it's a real move and people are much much more into mma these days.

I assume it's a DVD for him. I guess ROH is willing to give WWE footage, even if it's not for Punk he's obviously not doing an outside DVD.

The Punk DVD was announced about 6 weeks ago. He's got carte blanche on the content and talking heads apparently. I'd be very interested if they let someone like Homicide appear on the DVD though given his lack of WWE tenure. Samoa Joe is obviously off the table.

Power Slam said it's likely to be two discs so I am hoping for a decent overview plus full matches. I think it's safe to say the strip club brawl is not going to make the cut... I really do wonder about the 60 minute draws as well. Some of them are still good by current standards. Although you have to think WWE are a bit annoyed by the recent Summer Of Punk ROH compilation and may look to limit their dealings with them.

I assume no Samoa Joe matches, which is a damn shame because on of those Punk/Joe matches was friggen fantastic, the 2nd or third one i think.

Second is my favourite, third became too much of a finisher fest even if it had good continuity.

I hope Tyson Kidd actually gets used in a decent role again, even if he's a terminal IC/US champ. Punk and Ziggler rate his skills personally and he may be only enhancement talent, but he at least deserves a Kofi/Miz spot because he can do a better job of making his opponents look good than they do.
