I can agree in that aspect but his gimmick seem too generic for him to get really over. He has the mic work and the talent but I feel his gimmick is holding him back

Ok last year the NWA basically had Colt Cobana as NWA World champion. He seemed to fit the biggest indie that was televised by them and worked it mostly... NWA Hollywood. Well... in a shocking move Cobana was made to drop the belt to a guy no one really considered a legit draw in some young guy named the Sheik.

Also NWA Hollywood didn't wanna use him ! Their biggest promotion that televised didn't wanna use the new NWA World champion.

Stories came out that the guy bribed some of the members on the committee that picks guys to be champion and hence got the belt. It was insane. A month or 2 later he was asked to likely drop it due to negative reaction from people and other groups who didn't wanna use him.

He instead no showed and forfeited the belt. Pearce won it in a 4 way match from what I remember. The egg on the face of the NWA still hasn't went away.
