    Not shipping it.
Don't worry. Peter x Jennifer relationship would be on the buddy level.

Also, Peter is not a high school "awkward nerd" anymore. To keep him at that level is nothing more than a regression of his character, which would get boring very quickly. The whole "responsibility" takes on many forms that is blurred to different interpretations.

Obviously, Pete has overcome much of the awkwardness present during the Ditko run, but it's still there, just more subtle. But rather than see that as reason why they couldn't work, I see it as a prime reason why they could. In fact, there are some similarities between Jen and Pete, and I think someone like Slott could really run with those.
His memory's gone! Or...is it? It's not hard to fake amnesia! The Goblin is capable of anything!

Here is a link to Dan Slott's She-Hulk.

Here certainly knows how to give Jenn with her own social life outside of the Avengers as a Lawyer. I certainly miss those days. I only hope that the She-Hulk will one day appear in Dan Slott's Spider-Man.

In Heroes Return or one of those storylines didn't Peter actually tell Jen that they dated which prompted a WTF type reaction from her? Or maybe it was more of a 'oh god I hope you're kidding reaction'.

As with Carol Danvers, I am sure that Jenn would look at Spider-Man in a very different light once she GETS the chance to personally know him. I am sure that his BFF Carol would put in a good word to Jenn on his behalf. Ms. Marvel would be the only other person that the She-Hulk would trust when it comes to Spider-Man.

For some reason, if Peter where to ask the She-Hulk out on a date, she would most likely reject him outright. However, when she becomes Jennifer Walters(her Human side), she would enthusiastically accept the opportunity to date him. Thus, this could lead towards a stronger friendship on the Personal side for both of them out of costume.

I think it would be funny if they developed a friendship in their civilian guise without knowing about each other's other life style.

This is what I would love to see occur between Peter Parker and Jennifer Walters: A mutual friendship in their civilian guise. I feel that if Jenn(in her human form) got to know Peter Parker, they would become fast friends.

That copuld work as it lays pipe for future interactions and a potential omantic relationship. More like testing the waters, so to speak.

It would be funny if they just invert your pairings for the ultimate spidey, using their younger counterparts like Lyra(she-hulk) instead of the adult characters.

This is true, it's just that I don't see much common ground between them, besides being superheroes. Plus she's just way too much woman for him, let's be honest here.

I think that a relationship between the two could work if Avenging #7 is anything to go by. I think they work well together and seeing Spider-Man with a woman so much more imposing than he, who is stronger with the temper to match makes for some really comedic moments and kind of suits his personality. It won't be anything on the level of his relationship to MJ or even Gwen or the Black Cat, but I think it would be a lot of fun for an arc or two.

Remember the Ms Marvel stuff started with a team-up similar to this
