Well....

They've broken me on Spider-Men. I'll try it. Peter seeing Ultimate Gwen and Miles seeing a grown up Peter seems like really good character stuff that Bendis can excel at. I got the impression it's mainly for the 50th anniversary and it will have a lot of decent "what it means and takes to be Spider-Man" type stuff.

It sounds like it already has, but I hope it doesn't open the flood gates to more crossovers.

Still not getting AvX though and I will not!

For IAM'ers, I got the back end of the event's only Ant-Man costume. I kept waiting for him to turn around but I guess it's kind of fitting that I got a shot from this angle.

SKRULL ALERT!! There was a whole squad of them but their "handler" hustled a couple of them away after the contest. Methinks they were probably local "exotic dancers" (IIRC they were 2nd in that day's round)

I think Doom has lost a step since he had to have his brain reloaded. He actually let Bucky get away with telling him to shut up in this month's Winter Soldier. Of course it could always be another Doombot.

He did get by with the movie version of Doom's cloak and no body armor. But I guess that's because this is a social gathering and he wasn't expecting to tangle with the Thing or someone like that.

I might post a few more later from home. It was crazy crowded and sometimes hard to get a clear picture. I really enjoyed the display they had of the items from the Captain America movie that were going up for auction. There were tons of vendors there and I did find a copy of the Ellis/Granov Iron Man Extremis HC but only at 25 percent off. I didn't get a chance to get into any panels this year. They were on a different floor and if you didn't line up early you didn't get a seat.

I liked that issue quite a lot and it was a welcome change of pace from all the cosmic events that came to a head last time out. I wonder if he will have time to develop anything with such scope now that he has an exit date coming up in October. I hope he doesn't leave spoilers:
