Please don't tell me I need spoilers for Vengeance #1 but judging by what happened there
spoilers:end of spoilers
the new character called the Ultimate Nullifier was sleeping with Stacy X when Magneto busted in on them and got real prudish about her "neglecting her responsibilities." UN took him down in seconds with his UN gun or some such weapon. They he clobbered him in hand to hand
Not a good showing at all for the Master of Magnetism..even Kristoff came off better in that mini.
Heck, Reed with a similar device punked Magneto back in FF #105
Iron Man should handle Magneto just as easily. Not to get all rumbles board but Magneto has always been one of those "wave the hands" kind of powers. IM and Doom slug it out like Ali / Frazier. Have we ever seen Magneto do that? Usually he goes down pretty quick when his powers are nullified.
"...Doom's enemies have not the mettle to challenge him host to host, tooth to nail... As economic and military options fail them, they resort to simple rudeness."
You would if I had bought it, which I never would have done because...
IT'S CASEY AND NOTHING HE DOES SHOULD EVER BE ACCEPTED!
I know he gets all squeamish and wussy whenever Wolverine slashes him and he sees some of his blood.![]()

LOL... what I couldn't understand was all the praise this mini has been getting. CBR's resident critics listed it on the year end round ups as one of the best of the yearThe last issue of the comic has a one page thank you note from editor Tom Brennan that has this eye rolling statement:
"Last year, Marvel editorial had a wonderful problem; we had come into the possession of the six pieces you see above spotlighting our most famous villains and wanted to use them as covers for a project"
Bullseye's appearance is just his corpse, Red Skull in flashback and Doom doesnt appear it all. At least Loki and Otto weren't humiliated like Magneto was though.
So the only reason for this mini to exist was to make use of Del Otto's work. I remember jlmoor and I were loving the covers but really, it's the best part of this series. I have to admit I will buy almost anything that promises an appearance by Kristoff though and his part in the story was teased in the first issue. But then he doesn't appear again until the end.
Getting decapitated can do that too....or I guess that was Xorn.

Ryan Meinerding -- concept artist who worked on the IM, Thor and Cap films; he designed the latest IM suit for the comics.
Marvel occasionally uses some of his art for comic covers (particularly variants), and some of his work was seen in the SDCC Avengers film interlocking character promo posters.
No. He is a pestilence in all of his guises.

I see. I thought the Iron Man movie armour was taking what Adi Granov did and made it for the real world! Hmm...
I can't tell if you read it and hate it or if you refuse to try it out because there have been other Joe Casey things that you didn't like.No. He is a pestilence in all of his guises.
I personally haven't read too much of Joe Casey's stuff, but Joe Casey took what was pretty well done by Scott Lobdell (Yeah, I know some people may think I'm crazy) and made it really, really awesome.

I didn't like the entire premise of it. I think a lot of people like 3.0 because they previously weren't fans of (or weren't even particularly familiar with) the Wildcats, so the drastic change in direction worked for them, whereas to me it was jarring and unnecessary, and should have been done with wholly original characters instead of attempting to shoehorn previously existing characters into a new mold. They're a covert action team, not a fu$#ing "use Kheribum tech to better the world, corporation-fest" with Spartan using his "real" name, and a neutered Grifter. Also, needed more Voodoo and Savant.

Hmm...I guess. Personally, I read the initial Lee & Choi WildC.A.T.s, as well as the continuation from issue #5 onwards to (I can't remember exactly) maybe issue 16. That's when Travis Charest came in and I didn't like the art (I know!).
So, I don't know if I'd classify myself as a classic WildC.A.T.s fan or not. I came back to the Wildcats when Lobdell & Charest started, but quit because I didn't like the art once again when Bryan Hitch came in (I know!)
Having said that, I remember hearing how the Kherubim and Daemonite war was over and it was time for the aliens to move on with their lives. Wildcats 3.0 had a lot of promise and I have to admit I was severely dismayed when Dustin Nguyen stopped doing the art. I still thought it was refreshingly innovative and well structured. Corporate espionage will never be very exciting to me, so to add a metahuman twist to it really intrigued me.
But...different strokes and all, right? :)
