I love digital comics priced at $0.99. I purchased a bunch of the ones that were on sale for a rainy day.

    About French comics :

Lord Faureston is the title of the first issue. The series is titled "D." It may stands for Dracula, since it's a vampire story.

Garulfo's story is complete in these six issues.

Cixi de Troy issues 1 and 2 have been drawn by Vatine (of Aquablue fame, among others books, like a Star Wars series or a few westerns). Vatine does the story board for issue 3, Floch finishing. The page shown on the sites are clearly under Vatine's influence.

Apparently issue 9 of Ythaq only ends the first season of the series.

Great to see the kudos for French comics. There is some amazing stuff happening there. They just have a different eye for detail in art and narrative, I just love their overall approach.
I just recently read 'The Killer' and am about to tap into 'Cyclops' by the same team, both put out in English by Archaia. I think they have a few other French translations on their list too.

As for the SOPA thing... well no surprise there. All corporations will tow that line. The joke is that at the same time as putting up these laws the official position of the US State dept is that there should be no restrictions on any internet activities - free trade, free world et al blah blah - by other countries, even if it includes restricting easy access by children to violent porn (like in Australia, where Ms Clinton expressed her displeasure). So Gangbang DP rape simulation is good for "the free world", but underground or subversive music and art that actually contributes to culture is bad.

    1) Uncanny X-Force is totally worth the wait.

    2) FYI - There's a book about Smurf creator Peyo in the new Previews I thought you may like...

I remember Top Cow saying that Pitt is coming back! Still looking forward to it. Darkness/Pitt took a very long time from announcement to publication so not surprised by a long silence after the original mention. I was actually hoping for a Pitt appearance somewhere in Artifacts.

    Originally announced July 2010...
Top Cow proudly announces that it has acquired the rights to Pitt, the seminal character created by legendary artist Dale Keown. Keown has long considered himself part of the Top Cow family and this deal solidifies his ongoing relationship and commitment to the Cow. As part if this, Top Cow will collect previously published Pitt comics in trade paperbacks (which have never been collected before) as well as produce new Pitt comics and merchandise. Future Pitt comics will feature covers by Keown and be co-written and art directed by the creator.
Also this interview from June of 2011...

Dale loves working with us so much, he's entrusted us to help him bring back his classic character Pitt in the next year in a big way, which is something I'm incredibly excited about.
So we're about due for our next mention in May of this year!

Thumbs up SOPA and Comics Biz

Fantagraphics and Oni have both made statements against SOPA. Bravo!

Latest update from Matt Hawkins via an AMA at Reddit...

We've been looking for a creative time for Pitt for a long time. Any suggestions? We want to do a new series and coordinate that with the reprinting of all Dale's old Pitt stuff. It's NEVER been reprinted.
