LaDainian Tomlinson signed a one-day deal with the Chargers, then retired today. They might as well make his bust for the Hall of Fame right now.
Free your soul and let it fly....
Whats insane is LT wanted to come back and was willing to be a 3rd down back for the Chargers. The fans wanted it and so did Rivers . Instead being a dumb prick , AJ Smith wouldn't do it. So in the end LT just said fuck it and retired. Its amazing that one of the best players known for being a Charger and a key member of your franchise...and you chase him into retirement. Just boggles the mind of egomania that Smith has.

Payton knows that he'll still have a career after this year. Vilma's nearing the end of his career and a year off probably won't do him any good. Dunno about Williams. Maybe he's just desperate.
But I don't think that Vilma did himself any favors by suing. The NFL isn't going to turn over any evidence that could be used in that suit until it absolutely has to so it means that Vilma has less to respond to.
Heard on Pardon THe Interuption that Brees talked about how this is like WMDs in Iraq couldn't find them with the Bounty Gate of the Saints.
Sounds like he's challenging NFL To show the evidence.
That would probably be why the NFL invited 12 members of the media to see the evidence. Adam Schefter and Peter King were among that dozen, and Schefter made no effort to defend the players after having seen it. The NFL has a solid case, and Brees is either unaware what the defense was doing in the locker room, or is lying his *** off.
I mean, everyone wanted to believe Rafael Palmeiro when he said he wasn't taking steroids. And we did... until he came up positive for a steroid test. I'd like to have believed Brees, but...

The Bills are predicted by NFL analysts to make the playoffs I see on NFL Live.
Two talented RBs, a really talented WR, a decent defense last year with huge upgrades (not just Williams but the CB in the 1st and Mark Anderson who got 10 sacks for my Pats last year and we were too stupid or slow to resign). If Fitzpatrick can play like he did before they gave him the extension last year and with the easy schedule the AFC East is getting (though the NFC West is improving) it wouldn't surprise me.
A Fool for the Foom
I can't really argue the point, merely grit my teeth that if they don't, it won't be my Dolphins stopping them.
I have a bad feeling we'll go .500 at BEST.
