KC seemed to give Cassel more of a push to be the man this season. I am kinda irked KC didn't gamble on Moore in the 7th. He could have been a worthwhile selection. But if Cassel doesn't work this year , KC can basically trade up and go for Barkley next season . To me KC has added so much . The OL is finally gonna be there . Get the top QB next season.

Saw your Chiefs snagged Junior Hemingway from Michigan in the 7th round. That's a nice pickup. Saw him make a lot of big plays late in games during his college career.

It was some nice additions really. Poe himself is gonna be the big ? The Chiefs and others claim Poe played so many positions on the DL the past few seasons and really couldn't focus on any one goal. KC is gonna basically tell him to play NT in the 3-4 and wants him to be the inner guy . Crennel claims he will just play that position .

According to this the Browns are denying they lied to McCoy about drafting a QB in the 1st rd. Of course the GM has now said they won't trade McCoy after the Packers showed interest in him.

    http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/78...ck-source-says

Of course Shurmer claims that McCoy hasn't said if he will report to mini-camp. After the concussion deal and now the possible fact the Browns have lied to him on the day of the draft , If I was McCoy I stay at home and demand the trade. Its clear the team is major league fucked up mentally .

One of the silliest things is the Browns likely were stunned the Packers had an interest in McCoy which made them change their minds on trading him. Because I'm sure they felt , a winning team wouldn't want McCoy. Once it became clear that they were , they were like...we had better hold on to him. McCoy as some have suggested would be a decent fit in a West Coast offense , where his WRs can hold onto the ball.

It's like the Browns want to suck. I hope he does just sit at home and demand a trade, because he'd justified in doing so.

The sad thing is that the fans here in Cleveland really like Colt McCoy and we get that he had absolutely no one to throw to.

As for keeping McCoy, he's only making $490,000 this season. That's nothing in the NFL, especially when McCoy's back-up, Seneca Wallace, is set to make over $2M for this season. Now Wallace is as good as gone.

Nope. Moore signed a free agent contract with the Lions as their number three quarterback. May turn out very good for him.

interesting....so what is the rule on this? do you have to wait until the draft is completely over to sign or just past a certain round

In the NFL, when the draft is over.

Yeah I read that. KC seems willing to give Cassel one more season to see how he plays. They put more pieces and depth around him. If he can't produce this year , ya might as well say he's gone. KC has tons of cap room and will just likely go for a QB next season.

Well, if they do, they can repeat the whole drama again next year by proming Brandon Weeden they won't draft Matt Barkley.

Although, at this point, I'm predicting Jacksonville will be the weakest link, and they'll have next year's #1 pick to get him.

Well its a big IF right now for the Jaguars. They have Gabbert and drafted WR to give him a WR to throw to. Plus hired an offensive coach to work with him. Now a lot here really ripped Gabbert and he did have issues. But we have to remember...

1.) The lockout wiped out Gabbert's training camp and learning curve.

2.) Gabbert was told when they released Gerrard he wouldn't be starting so soon. In fact it was told he'd likely start the 6th or 7th week to get him more time to learn.

3.) By the end of the 1st week he was rushed in before he was ready and made the starter. It showed that he needed time to adjust to NFL playing and handling pressure at times. He suffered some hard rookie issues , a lot due to a WR core that really was on pare with the Browns .

4.) The Jaguars halfway through Gabbert's struggling rookie season , cut his leading WR !

They drafted Blackmon for him and are hoping Murlarky can work with his issues. Guy has a great arm , he just needs to handle pressure and cut down on those mistakes better. Which I think with a full camp and all...he could possibly do it.

    http://www.nfl.com/top100/2012?modul...000d5d828b895b

The NFL Network is unveiling its top 100 players list for 2012, based on current players' votes. Based on the players listed from 100-91, it is fair to say the players are equally as questionable in their assessment as some of the fans.
