Detective Comics in 2012

2011 was a year full of very hard work. Some trials and tribulations but the successes were worth it all. Detective Comics #1 went into its forth printing (without the aid of a variant cover), and issue 5 surpassed 100k and is actually still gaining sales. What makes me feel even better is that the stories and art will only be getting better in the arcs ahead. 2012 will bring a new take on Scarecrow into the mix, a new villain named Snakeskin, revelations about Charlotte, Hugh Marder's hidden agenda, and of course some answers surrounding the Joker and his motives. Thank you for making 2011 my biggest ever in my career. I am very appreciative of my fan base and I'm always working to 1-up myself each month for you folks. Thanks and I look forward to dedicating myself 100% to Detective Comics and to you.

Oh. Sounds exciting. I'm actually really liking detective... More than Batman. Which is weird. I have never liked Tony Daniels writing till this book. Batman is a little overrated at the moment. It's moving at a snails pace.

I'm really enjoying Detective Comics as well. I'm not sure why there seems to be so many Tony Daniels detractors around here. I am enjoying his work.

I'm really looking forward to a new scarecrow arc. That cover looks great!

Ya know it's weird, Comic Shop News has this picture for the cover of issue 5, which is strange and wouldn't make much sense.

That picture from the facebook post is great. Although I won't be picking up his Penguin arc, I may come back to Detective sometime later.

Y'know, as popular as it is to dis Daniel on the fan-sites, it's pretty naive to think he's going to be replaced when his Detective Comics is one of the best selling books of the New 52.

The dude's worked his ass off to get where he is, and people act like the fact that he's writing a book they don't like is damaging them personally or something. Get over it, don't read the book, stop bitching, no one important cares.
