I normally read a classic a year, and I already finished my classic for this year, which was "Madame Bovary." I would like to read "Little Dorrit" this year, because I'd like to finish reading all of Charles Dickens' novels this decade. He's my favorite.

My goal is to get a kindle. I'm travelling at the moment and brought 11 books with me, so a kindle will free up some much needed space in my backpack.
Has anyone got any recommendations on what type of kindle to get? Presumably on the simplest level, a Kindle Fire is the best option if I want to read mainly magazines/comics, whereas one of the black and white kindles would be best if I plan to read mainly books on it?
