So keep Silver Star and Captain Victory the core ongoing titles and surround them with mini's until the next "event book"? That sounds pretty good actually, but I'm really hoping that Dragonsbane is an ongoing title even though I'm almost certain it won't be (but who knows). I would personally like to see another title like Genesis, but I'd much rather see Genesis remain a monthly series written by various talent over the course of it's run, maybe someone else could take over after Busiek.....like Mark Waid or someone else big within the industry. I'd geek out over that, lol.

Yeah you guys are right, the kirby line of books have only been out around 8 or 9 months and we already got 4 titles in print from the line so I guess that's a great start, we could and should get more in 2013. At least 2 more ongoing books since genesis is ending soon and many think Dragonsbane is simply a 6 issue series. We will want more than 2 books on the shelves when the other 2 end.

Talked a little to guys who worked in 2 comic book stores in the cities near me and both agreed Dragonsbane isn't selling too well at all and that issue no.2 dipped hugely from the first issues buyer base :-( this sucks because I want this book to keep going. One said orders were under 5,000 copies industry wide. On the plus side they both said Captain victory and Silver Star are both selling fairly well and have solid readers and Genesis is a huge seller in their stores. :-) that's good news at least :-)

The covers for issue no6 of Silver and issue no7 of Victory are drawn by someone new and look amazing I saw them in the latest previews magazine!

The covers for Silver Star #6 and Captain Victory #7 are straight up sick and give the book the big budget value look that it may need to pull some extra readers, seriously, the artist is pretty damn good and I'm glad you pointed me toward these covers and I'm so excited to see what it looks like in person. From the solicitations it appears that the interior artist for Silver Star is still the same but the pencils for issue #7 of Captain Victory appears to be handled by someone new, it'll be interesting to see how it all comes out.

Silver Star no4 hits stores tomorrow, who's excited? I know I am and I think I heard Genesis no6 is the week after!

Got my Silver Star #4 in the mail yesterday and man, this issue was intense. The final few pages left me in awe, it had dead heroes, a cliffhanger ending, and the art was as good as it's been in previous issues, Silver Star #4 was most certainly a winner and I absolutely cannot wait until issue #5 comes out.

Hopefully it see's release in time without any delay's.

Looking forward to the new issues...espescially if Genesis is back next week. Dying to see that battle continue!

And the covers to SS7 and CV8 by Sean Chen (i think thats his name) are pretty cool. I wonder if can do some interiors?

Dynamite released their solicitations for July and absolutely NOTHING under the Kirby banner is on the schedule whatsoever. This isn't good, no Genesis (could be finished up at #8 by then), no Dragonsbane (could be finished up at #6 by then), no Silver Star, and no Captain Victory.......bummer. I really got this terrible feeling as if this may be it, as if the titles will be done as of the summer and Dynamite plans on moving forward with some other franchise, it just seems to be how they work. Dynamite signs a big property, they put all of their effort into promoting it while ignoring everything else, and then they move onto the next big thing leaving alone everything that came before to hold up on it's own. I hope I'm wrong about this and they're just taking a month off, but I'm nervous about this one and it feels an awful lot like that happened to Project: Superpowers.....

This is not encouraging news. NOTHING Kirby? Craziness.

I LOVE the dynamite Kirby comics but I've come to the conclusion that they just aren't going to last very much longer and after seeing manga's post I researched it and he's right. Nothing. :( :( :( please don't let it be over!!!!!!!

I think Kirby: Genesis was around the top 150 and both SS and CV were at least top 250. Dragonsbane was lower, but that is to be expected. It is just weird with all the delays, even though Kurt Busiek said all the scripts were in the can they continue not to ship the main book on time. I think maybe Alex Ross is spreading himself too thin with the insane number of covers he does every month for Dynamite. He also just moves from project to project and without his total support I don't know if Dynamite cares enough to continue series like Kirby and Superpowers.

Dynamite seems more comfortable with old pulp heroes and characters such as Shadow, Hornet, Zorro, Flash Gordon, and Tarzan. Those are cool, but they need to promote the kirby universe and the readers may come :-(

They did promote the hell out of it right off the bat, but the delays have killed any momentum the series was gaining...that then carries over to the spin-off series as well.

How about a giant cross-over event pitting the Kirbyverse vs. Project Superpowers!?! Silver Star vs. Black Terror? Yes, please! (Though Mang4Life's head might explode )

I never said any such thing. I'm still working on #8, as it happens, trying to stay ahead of Jackson while I'm ill.
