This was a far better paced issue. The action scenes weren't narrated annoyingly like before and the plot flowed well. This issue wasn't overseen layout wise by Perez I believe with breakdowns. Just hoping that next issue finally starts revealing this mystery. Its supposed to be connected to Action Comics, so we will see. All in all, not a bad read.

Default Consider what else is going on....

We are four months into the New 52 and I still don't really know all that much about this "new" Superman.

Four months into Post Crisis and Man of Steel was wrapping up and I had a very clear idea of who the characters were and what was going on.

I don't blame Perez for this. I think he is being held back because of the origin story that takes place 5 years before this hasn't finished yet. Perez's hands are tied because if he goes too far, he might give up plot points from the other book.

Not a great issue, but its still worlds better than "Grounded" and "World of Krypton".

I also like the way it ended....there was movement on the plot and it was a cool reveal.
If the shoe fits: "a crankly old man standing just on the edge of a crowd gathered for a concert and stamping his feet yelling at the crowd to stop having fun, that they don't know what fun is."

Liked this issue. Not my favorite of the series so far, but still a good read. Can't wait for upcoming issues featuring Nicola Scott's art, even though I find Merino's art great as well.

I did like world of krypton though. Just not that much. I think this issue is fine. Nothing too much to complain about as compared to the previous issue. To counter the "too much words" problem, I'll just put it as my first comic to read. Till now its been great.

I really haven't noticed much of this in Superman....

There was certainly none at all in #4.
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...

However angle you saw it, what is certain is i do like the interaction between characters and their dialogues in here or the previous issues, from Clark, Lois to Miko... they seems alive than ever... Talking about running the business, their respond and thoughts to each other character...

I've been loving it. Good, old school wordy style. Perez is really building up the Daily Planet and Clark's co-workers. All the issues have tied together, but they really stand well on their own too.

Great issue. Art was amazing. Found myself having to go back to remind myself of the sequence of events when the DP staff were questioning Clark on his whereabouts. Also REALLY liked seeing that pic of Supes at the cemetery on Lois' computer. I'd be all for Lois knowing Clark is Superman this early. Really adds a new twist.

    Good stuff.

How many times can Perez reiterate the same point from literally 3 panels ago?

Its supposed to be a comic book, not a novel for the blind.
    Another vote from me, too.

This book is truly horribly written at the moment, which, considering how much regard I've got for George, hurts me to say. I can't remember the last time I was reading a comic and was actually getting angry at how bad it was (probably Henderson's Teen Titans, but I digress...). The dialogue was excruciating and the plot literally made no sense to me from page 1, no matter how much they tried to explain it. Again. And again. #7 can't come soon enough.

Then again, part of my frustration might be due to the fact I read this on the back of Savage Hawkman #4, which was nearly as bad. Thank goodness Teen Titans was the last comic I read in 2011 and not this horror...

    It was bad enough.

Cosmic menace Morphicius is stopped by... Hawkman spraying a little liquid nitrogen on him? After he conveniently guesses what the alien recording was talking about when it conveniently cut out the previous issue? And Hawkman let the mad scientist doctor either escape or fall to his death in a damaged helicopter (I really couldn't tell which)?

    Nah, it was pretty bad.

I don't get the hate at all, I really like the way the supporting cast is utilized and the plot with the possible nuEradicators is pretty interesting.

I tried to like this book... but I am done. Four issues and nothing interesting yet. I'll stick with Action.
