    Default Savage Hawkman #4

This issue was mostly action, involving Hawkman facing off against Morphicius: it's a great fight scene, and wonderfully drawn. But the real beauty of this issue lies in all the "tough talk" that Hawkman says. I enjoyed that the most. Is anyone else still reading this? If so, I think #4 is easily the best issue of this series so far, and it was good seeing all of the seperate threads of the story beginning to come together. Also, a great cliffhanger!

I was thinking of posting them, but I couldn't be bothered at the moment. Still, if you haven't read the issue yet, there's quite a lot to like.

Definitely closed the opening story in a nice way. I want to read the arc as a whole now that it's closed. I'm really enjoying the voice Daniels gives to this book, very impressed with his work so far and Tan's artwork is a nice fit for the serious so far. Also the tease on the last page has me chomping at the bit for the next arc

Yeah, the resolution was very solid, I agree. And, also, the first page: does anyone else who read it think it was kind of a "recap" page? It had that feel to it. And yeah, Tan continues to impress: the colours weren't as strong here as in #1, but I think that's to be expected.

I like the green alien. i was going to drop it but i picked it up in the end. this was quite a good ending. i dropped firestorm instead after another disappointing issue.

Askana, I think her name was. And yeah, she was pretty cool, too: I would have liked to have seen the resolution with her - but I'm assuming that once Morphicius was frozen, all of his Plague Duplicates were destroyed, and she gets away. Still, a secret organisation like that - I hope they get a bit more scene time down the road.

So, Earth-1 or Earth-2? Any clues yet?

No clues as of yet. This one was mostly action.

Reading your posts made me realized how much I miss Hawkman. So I read it. :)

Am I the only crazy person that loves the art? I don't mean like. LOVE. I can't explain it in a "technical, scientific, nerd" way, but I love it. My favorite panel are all of them. :P No, I mean the one with the ship and Kane.

Thanks for convincing me of reading this! I really needed that scene in the chopper. Deal with it Kane!!! :D

    spoilers:
The moment with the cryogenic splash was classy
    end of spoilers

Maybe my only complaint is that Carter says too much to Morph, it looked more like an explanation to the reader and seems pointless that he talks that much in the battle. Or maybe I'm misreading it and he was hoping for solving the problem in a diplomatic way, or excuse himself.
It doesn't keep him for kicking ass, though. :D

Me too. The art looks fantastic. Every panel looks gorgeous. My only complaint is that sometimes Carter looks really buff like in issue 1 and other times like in this issue he looks really skinny.

I am surprised more people aren't talking more about those two explosive words that came out of Waker's mouth. Looks like this is definitely a full on reboot and all those silver age hawkman fans that turned their nose up my regret it later...

Not sure I am thrilled woth the tease, but the book has been good and I'll take whatever hawkman I can get.

I'm pretty sure it's Earth-1 with Hawkman showing up in Justice League here shortly.
There are four stages of matter. Solid. Liquid. Gas & Don't. It's science.
I am a male. Deal with it.

I admit, I was a bit surprised at the tease as well. But we'll have to see how much is retained and how much is going to get changed. I think there are some interesting avenues that can be taken both ways.
