There's a good chance that this is Way's last arc for Deadpool. It'll probably be good if the recent issues are any indication.
I doubt Deadpool is really going to die. They've already been through one death storyline. I actually think he could lose his healing factor instead.
Deadpool without his healing factor? He would never work as a character without a healing factor. He's too crazy to only have one life to lose before he dies.
Now, Wolverine without a healing factor, that would be cool. He would have to change a lot. It would be very interesting to see him cope without his healing factor.
Remember one important detail: this is the beginning of an arc.
I think he's going to die, and then the story will follow him in the after-life with Death and co.
Really, it'd be the same for both of them as far as adjustments go. If anything, it'd be harder for Wolverine (particularly if he kept his claws). That, and the fact that he was born with his powers. At least Deadpool (presumebly) remembers what it's like to be a plain old normy.
Is there any other person besides me that finds a little annoying the fact that X-Force is there in Deadpool's "final moments" when clearly they don't care one bit about him?
That might actually be an interesting thought to explore in the future.
Deadpool, despite his best efforts, usually walks alone. And let's face it- Deadpool cares a lot more about X-Force than X-Force cares about Deadpool. I think he realises that no matter what he does, he'll never be accepted.
