I tried doing some research, and the only thing I can come up with is that the Henge is classified as Ninjutsu. It is indeed basic/general, and seems like its doing something pretty powerful from a physical standpoint, but most ninja's are said to suffer great strain in maintaining the form of an object if that object is being manipulated. So if you henge into a rock, and someone punches you really really hard, you won't necessarily maintain the physical toughness of a rock.
Also, by his own admittance, Naruto has zero ability for Genjutsu, yet not only did he henge himself into a windmill shuriken, he later henge'd his real body into a Rasenshuriken. And then later several of his clones as rocks. Pain didn't notice any of this, even though the Rinnegan was shown to be able to perceive chakra.
"It's your parting gift. In that it will part you; part of you over here, part of you over there, part of you way over there, staining the wall!" Lord Shen
Siriel:
Transient just likes to do that.
Why he keeps picking up ridiculous arguments and then try to defend them, I will never know.
It could be ignorance, one of those things the author doesn't really think much about. In the same way some writers make characters grossly out of character without noticing or don't really realize just how strong they are.
Or it could be another way in which the author can make Naruto more special than everyone else. 'cause his henge is actual transformation.
"I am Shishihime Ikiho! The legendary hero who has lived 5000 years!"
"That's right, and I am a high schooler who couldn't live alone even for a second... and is as cool as the devil himself."
For those interested, as I am finally free from my heavy work, I will update my Naruto thread on Rumbles sometime next week.
After I catch up on Vanguard... which I will do once I have finished watching The Office...
Anyway, some time next week.
Expect Meteors and Science!!!

New chapter out....
It's....almost literally nothing new.
Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. Whoever cannot take care of themself without that law is both. For a wounded man shall say to his assailant, "If I Live, I will kill you, If I Die, You are forgiven." Such is the Rule of Honor.
nothing really much to say about this one.
COCAINE IS MY GOD AND I AM THE LIVING INSTRUMENT OF ITS WILL!!
snowflame, new guardians #2
wanna make some quick cash?
So... my only response for this is that I half-expect the Kyuubi to burst into song to Naruto at this point.
Yeah, I'd be okay with Naruto/Kyuubi bromance right now.
Nik Hasta: "I'm not a ninja dammit!"
Elewa - SHR3
Respect Killy! (BLAME!?)
Respect the Mamudo Children!
Cool chapter,
I really wasn't expecting the Kyuubi Mode+Sage Mode combo Naruto pulled. Never thought one of the clones would stay inside. That was pretty smart of him.
And the chains also come from the Rinnegan. This could be interesting if they are the same as Kushina's.

Another nice chapter from Naruto.
So Kurama is actually looking at Naruto's actions. That's how they're going to judge Naruto's conviction and honesty.
Naruto's escape was creative, attacking the item from both sides and all.
A really cool chapter, nice montage. Kurama has been watching for a very long time.
Also, it's interesting to note that even though Naruto may have thought he was invisible to others during his early years, there has actually been someone who has always been there watching him from the shadows. Before he had any friends or became the great hero of the war, the Kyubi has bee there. It's probably the one creature that has seen all of Naruto's life. It's strange that Naruto hasn't befriended the very creature that has been with him the most. Maybe it's about time.
Also this chapter adds emphasis to the difference between Naruto and Sasuke. Sasuke does everything through sheer power and talent. I think Naruto's true strength is in his ability to make friends. His ability to cooperate with others. The power that he achieved is indeed a product of teamwork. Is working with the Kyubi comparable to some sort of talent? I'd say no. Talent is something that a person is born with. But friendship, particularly to the Kyubi is something that Naruto has to earn as seen in this chapter. His actions will determine whether bonds of friendship can be cemented or not. And it will be something that needs patience and care to grow.
Maybe its through this partnership and teamwork, that they can reach even greater forms of power, imo.

Sometimes you lose things which you don't expect losing. It doesn't make the hurt any less.
