Re: Kukazu falling for a basic kage bunshin trick. I dunno if anything Naruto does with his bunshin is a common trick since his tactics are all based on the fact that he's got bijuu levels of chakra in addition to being a Jinchuuriki and can use that move in ways that are just ridiculous. Hell, Naruto didn't even need to be in either group that attacked since there's no reason his clones couldn't use the Raseenshuriken in his stead (tus removing the danger to himself.

Actually, that's also part of why his tactics are so effective: while he's really good at clever tricks, Naruto is just as likely to eschew basic tactics for shounen reasons.

Of course, Kukazu is lucky that Kakashi aimed for a reliable torso stab rather than a Chidori head stab.

And if it comes down to it, theirs nothing stopping Minato from just attacking Madara while Madara tries to activate the contract again or using the Shiki Fuin for a taking you with me moment that I think will be successful. As for Meteors he could just port away and come back it's something in his power with all the Hirashin Kunais he has used over the war.

It only takes Minato one touch to tag someone with a Hirashin formula and then he could just spam the stage two version of it. All he really needs to do is keep Madara from reactivating the technique.

What is Stage Two of Minato's signature technique? Or are you talking about a different technique? I'm thinking of the one where he transports instantly to wherever one of his special tags are.

Or Madara could get into his giant mech and thus prevent any possibility of touching him.

The thing with Madara, power-set wise, is that he's not only really powerful, he's pretty much the most versatile character in the manga. So he has a counter to pretty much everything you can toss at him.

Why would you think this? The difference in power between Madara and Minato is hilariously large.

I mean, this isn't even about me liking Madara as a character or whatever. It's just a fact that power-set wise, the guy is completely ridiculous for the setting.

Wasn't his Susanoo disrupted when the Edo Tensei technique was cancelled? And I doubt Madara would bring out the Susanoo from the start against Minato, if he didn't do it for Naruto and his team or the 5 kage's I doubt he'd do it for only one Hokage.

I can't recall that ever being said, but I guess it's possible. I'm not really seeing Madara losing a contest of will against Minato though.

It's clearly not based on Chakra, given that Edo Tensei Zombies have infinite chakra and can be sealed by it.

SO. After that initial volley of stars and jutsu I find Tobito's and Kakashi's interaction interesting.

When he got close enough to do some personal damage against Kakashi, something he showed he's very able to do later on, he...well...didn't. Tobi got a sad look on his face ( remembering the past? ) and when Kakashi tried to talk he was told to shut up because his words are trash.

But it was the next move that gets me.....he kamui'd him into the personal dimension. He didn't use the paths, he didn't use anything actually damaging. It wasn't until Kakashi escaped and then brought up Rin that Tobito got full on violent.

Is Tobi still holding out for his old friend? Does he want Kakashi to be alive in the new reality?

Remind me, has it been stated that Rin would get a rez with the reset?

It's a possible chink in Tobito's armor that a piece of his old self still wants one of his best friends alive and safe. Course it's easy to ignore a chink when it starts talking about Rin.


And I'm sorry, but speculation about who could beat who is something for the rumbles board and it's bothersome to me because I've wanted to insert fights into the Naruto topic but it didn't seem appropriate.

Yes, Obito flat out said that both Rin and Kakashi would be alive in the Infinite Tsukiyomi thingy. Its why he didn't bother killing Kakshi after seeing him kill Rin. There would be no point since it wouldn't further his goal and he'd just bring the guy back anyways.

Arguably, that's why he was able to murder his own family and attempt to murder his teacher, Kushina, a newborn baby and his beloved village: once he finally finishes his plans, he'll just undo everything and give everyone a perfect existence.

The issue with the Moon Eye plan, beside the innately subjective "escapism is bad" angle, is that the people that die in the process of executing won't actually be brought back - it'll just look like they've been brought back.

Also, that it doesn't give people the choice of being in the illusion or not.
