Is this TVRC? http://starcasm.net/archives/31237
That explains a lot, Tim.
If you're gonna start reading 2000AD, the current bumper issue Prog 2012 is a 100-page jumping-on point. Oh, and it's brilliant. Nikolai Dante is the best British comic of the last decade. So there.
Not quite getting the Justice League love. I'm not a huge fan of Lee's art. Not really his fault so much but he's so copied now that it's pretty much generic. Also, what's with all the ridiculous poses?!
Really enjoying those Alan Moore articles over on Tor.com. Looking forward to the Halo Jones coverage!![]()
That WOULD explain a lot.
I can neither confirm nor deny.
Rian Hughes should redesign every logo. I think there might have been two logos on the page I didn't like, and it was mostly because he had a better version right next to it.
Pull List: Action Comics, Green Lantern, GLC, GL: New Guardians, Justice League, The Flash, Batman Inc, Batman, Nightwing, Batman & Robin, Dial H, Animal Man, Frankenstien, Earth-2
There's a few minutes of my life I won't get back again. Pretentious much?
If you're not up to tracking down every single issue of Heavy Metal, you can read the highlights here.
You're so wrong about Hunky Dory being Bowie's best (Aladdin Sane, Young Americans, Low, Scary Monsters--come on), BUT I will still recommend Uncut's ginormous Bowie bible, which is stuffed with extensive, archival interviews and current record reviews. Bowie is surprisingly forthcoming (and even more suprisingly consistent as a personality) in the interviews.
Also, the BOOK "The Keep" kicked my young ass when it came out, and not just because of the sex scene. As I recall, it was truly creepy and well plotted. Of course, I was ... 10 when it came out? 12? I dunno; I'm about your age.
agree with other post, The Keep (book) was chock full of awesomeness.
one of my favorite paperbacks from the 80's, still got it somewhere.
"I'm the Doctor. And you're in the biggest library in the universe. Look me up!"
The Doctor
I literally do not know what you mean? Who are you trying to insult with your non-comment?
(I'm talking to Mikael, by the way.)
There is no better Bowie than Diamond Dogs! And Television's Tom Verlaine would be cooler.... but I'm being snarkey. Thanks for your site and for Grant Morrison: The Early Years. Great 'pinions.
