A pity they are going for the "classic" Red Robin as opposed to the tweaked and more "tim-like" version that was used in the ongoing

That Red Robin looks about 35 years old as well.
I support Danny LuVisi's Last Man Standing.

I love that "Classic" Red Robin costume i wish they could find some way of keeping that around. That new superman costume looks incredibly boring.

Why is Red Robin so buff?

That's a weird lineup. I'm happy with New 52 Superman and Flash (I guess...). I am surprised we didn't get Batman right away. I am really happy that we're getting a Red Robin. But what's up with Supergirl? Was the Dark Supergirl storyline popular enough to warrant this? Or is it included just because it's an easy repaint?

It's KC Red Robin. Remember, Tim Drake is not long for the world.

supergirl is probably in because she's an easy repaint, similar to the outright reissue of Batman Beyond in the first wave.

Overall, pretty good. The DCnU Superman is nice, the DCnU Flash looks just like Wally and the KC Red Robin can just fill in for any of the Red Robins, which is nice. No real comment on Dark Supergirl- she'd have been better as a variant.

These figures definitely filled the quality and playability gap that DC Direct left open. If only they didn't cost $20 or so a piece these days, I could still buy them...

These are pretty disappointing. MUCH prefer these:

    More pics here

    Wonder why they were changed??

    EDIT:

    Yet another sculpt:

From here. IMO, this is better than either of the previous ones... I'd imagine the pics in the CBR article are the latest...

Red Robin looks very weird. I wish they would it least label it "Kingdom Come Red Robin." It looks way too buff to be Tim. Plus, the costume isn't right. I'm more inclined to think that that's Jason or even Dick from Kingdom Come.
With great power comes great...aw heck with it, you know the drill.

Nothing was changed. The pics you showed were DC Direct figures, which are more or less mobile statues. Better sculpts, but almost non-existent articulation. The figures in the CBR article are DC Universe Classics figures, which are articulated action figures.

I think JoeP is referring to the fact that DCD replaced the dead-on Superman face sculpt they originally showed with a more Asian(?) head later. DCD also removed Wonder Woman's pants.

LOVING the Kingdom Come Red Robin. The second figure from KC. I hope they do a whole line.
