    Default "New 52" reading order?

Just started reading Justice League and see that it is set 5 years ago. Are all the DC titles set in the JLA timeline or are they current.

Just inquiring before I start reading Bat, 'Tec and Flash.

Nono, Action Comics is 5 years and 3 months ago. Justice league is 5 years ago. They're about the same time, just that Action comics happens first.

Detective seems like it's set in the past, but it hasn't been confirmed. You still might want to read it before any other Batman title.

I think the deal with Detective is that they had established that Batman is still untrusted by the police, but Detective is really playing that up more than Batman is, so it seems like Detective takes place further back.

Still, you have some books that are theoretically moving along faster than others, so it's also possible that you could have issues 1-6 take place in one book before issue 3 of another.

And don't forget, Batwoman was written well before the change to the DCnU, but held up for half a year or so and finally released to coincide with others in the New 52. That's why it's a snowy winter in her first arc, but not in other books that also involve Gotham City.

Batman Leviathan Strikes takes place in the old DCU, so before the previous few months Bat titles. And with differences in time and pacing and the like, I'm fairly sure that up to next month and perhaps beyond, Teen Titans will take place prior to Batman #1.

If you read the books as they come out, that is about the best reading order.
I would like to say for the record that this is the FIRST TIME I've withheld dong when someone was so desperately asking for some.

This dumb. Just read them in whatever order, it doesn't matter. Its not like books set in the past (Action, JL, and All-Star Western) actually spoil anything going on in other titles.

The fact that Detective #1 has been noted in other books (Batman, Dark Knight and Suicide Squad) means that it takes place in the present.
