Totally agree with Flashpoint: koV. I would love to see this as a Elseworlds series. I hated that it was only 3 issues long and wanted to read more.
I realize it made the top 30 list, but my only disagreement is Uncanny X-Force not in the top 10. I can't champion this as the best X-Anything in years enough. Otherwise, cool top ten with some books I have yet to check out, but will.
Batman, GL, Miss Fury, Uncanny X-Men, Hypernaturals, Witch Doctor, Casanova, Green Arrow, COPRA. +A bunch of trades every month.

I can't believe Daredevil didn't make it. Mark Waid, Paolo Rivera and Marcos Martin have been awesome!
Oh and, like the others said, Uncanny X-force has been excellent, much much better than the rest of the X-Men comics out there.
Did Tim Callahan just write that something by Morrison was disappointing????!!!!
I maintain that Deadpool MAX #1 (the only issue I read) was the worst comic I've read that was released in the past five years.
But, yeah, Uncanny X-Force and Daredevil are definitely at the top of my list, at least.
I had to re-read that sentence several times myself and checked the heading. But I also agree, his Action Comics has been hella lame and I already dropped it. And Digital Justice? Jesus Christ, so terrrrrrrible
I'm gonna agree with the other people to add Uncanny X-Force and Daredevil up here, but maybe because I've only read, like, half of this list. Opinions and all that.
I can get down the #1 choice, though. Almost every month for the past few years, Scalped comes out, and its awesome. It is the bedrock of my pull list, consistently great characters and amazing, AMAZING artwork. Its gonna be a damn shame when that comes to an end next year, and easily stands up with any great Vertigo series. Sandman, Preacher, Alan Moore's Swamp Thing, you name it. It's just an incredible comic book, and it reminds me why I'm still reading these things.
As always, I agree with Tim's right to be right. The man knows what he is saying.
I will also respectfully disagree and have his Top 10 meet my Top 10 behind the gymnasium at 3:10 to duke it out for superiority:

The nice thing about Ryan's list is that it at least has confidence in itself. No matter how wrong it is.
I will endorse Legion of Monsters, though! Hopeless and Doe are rockin' that party.
The #1 pick is clearly a case of someone just standing on the upside-down part of the Earth, and we can't blame Ryan for geography.
(Go read Ryan's list, then come back here and debate it against my list! Who will live? Who will die? Who will make breakfast?)
Actually...::sheepishly::...I'll make breakfast. I work as a breakfast cook at a genius factory. ;)
I love the list. I loved XOMBI.
I caught up on CASANOVA and yearn to read them in their original floppies. Yet I found the last issue, Casanova: Avaritia II to have the Best Onomatopoeia Ever in Any Funnybook Ever Drawn.
"BANG BANG F*($ING BANG"
I just want to say though I did not find the Digital Justice issue pathetic. I found that to be better than TRON: Legacy when it comes to "that kind of story told within a Digital World". I really loved the art and the Red Skies, et al. The firewalls and their graffiti, so very Grant indeed. I thought the 1UPs and Power Up were great. Sure the cancelation did it no justice, no pun I liked the entire run and I look forward to tomorrow's closure in the One-Shot, still printed in 2011 and still got time "close the book" on Batman Inc. I love the idea of Batman as as brand.

I definitely agree with Flashpoint: Batman: Knight of Vengeance.
Awesome book.
Damn, number 2, huh? I did not feel that way at all about Knight of Vengeance. I don't know, it just didn't haunt me, apparently. I was like, "Oh hey, this is pretty neat. The art is cool." And I was basically bored of the "If Thomas Wayne was Batman, Batman would be the Punisher" thing by the second issue. I liked the story well enough, but the comic as a whole was more about Risso for me. Inc definitely was way higher on my personal list. Black Mirror, too, and it's a fair bit below Inc. I basically forgot about KoV.
But Forming! I love Forming. That is a beautiful piece of work. I really, really need the collected edition, I've only read it online. I don't usually buy the collections of webcomics, but Forming I feel like I need to hold in my hands.
I've only read the first Scalped trade. I liked it, but was a little disappointed just because of all the hype. I've been told it keeps getting better, though, so I'm sticking with it.
I will have to check out some of these that I haven't been reading. That's what I always like most about Best of the Year lists - not where the books I did read ended up, but what great books I've missed out on.
