I read it, I like it.

It is incredibly gory, and perverse. so beware.

I enjoy it, but it is defiantly not made for those who get grossed out real easily.
The writing and storyline has been really good since day one. The gory stuff is just an added bonus.

The first Crossed, by Ennis, was brilliant. There are some gore pages for sure, but they're not the meat of the story. The story is really about the group of survivors and I loved it. You could take the gore out and not really lose much.

The next arc, Family Values, was heavier on the gore but I still loved the story.

The third arc, Pyschopath .... wow, the gore is definitely maxed out here. Issue #3 had some of the most disturbing things I've ever seen/read. I really like the premise and story though, it's just issue #3 was graphic!

All in all, Crossed is a fun read and I'd describe it as a Walking Dead with more gore/action. If you like Walking Dead type stories and aren't offended by gore, you should love it.

BTW: You can read either arc in any order, they're all separate in the same world.

This title is pretty much only for those who think movies like Saw are worth the celluloid they are filmed on.

I'm a fan of Ennis' work but completely missed this and have been trying to track down reviews of it. I'll give the first volume a try

That's the only volume you should give a try.

There's a humanity to Ennis' mini that just isn't there in Lapham's work, especially his current one. It just seems like an excuse to be as gory and disturbing has he can possibly be.

Lapham's Crossed stories are good too.

I have been reading this one since the beginning and it is my favourite comic on my pull list I even allowed myself to be sucked in to collecting all the covers.

    This! and THIS

Except, the current vol by Lapham is a lot better than Family Values.

I have a question maybe someone here can answer. Do the Crossed have some kind of enhanced healing, not like Wolverine, but more like a ramped up immune system. I realize they enjoy the pain so they wouldn't die from shock, but some of the injuries they suffer I would assume would kill a normal person after awhile. I mean a people die from infections all the time, and I can't see the Crossed taking time out from rape and murder to apply neosporine. I've read Crossed vol. 1, Crossed 3D and Crossed: Family Values so I don't know if this has been brought up in the other mini's.
