YES, one of the Perfect writers at Marvel to retell the origins of the Hulk. Instant buy from me.![]()
So FF, Daredevil, Spider-Man, X-Men, Hulk.
Did I get the order they come out right?
I might need to get each one!
Count me in for this!!!
This sounds good and I'm interested in this take of the origin.
That being said, they seem to talk here like it will be the new, canon, origin...I wasn't aware that these Season Ones were that. I thought they were just another take on them.
Either way, I'm picking this up!!
Van Lente wrote the perfect and original Taskmaster Origin.
Can be very good.
The Hulk will always be one of my favorite comicbook characters for both his redeeming and not so redeeming qualities. The Hulk, is essentially, a modern day Frankenstein (which is a modern take on Prometheus); man, who plays with the fire of the Gods, (in this case technology/nuclear proliferation) is burned, and becomes the "monster." However, the "monster," isn't a wretch at all but instead a literal manifestation of the repressed emotions and trauma of a man with a violent and abusive upbringing (nature vs. nurture theme) and whom has to now deal with the consequences of his actions both past and present. The Hulk is, in a sense, the anthropomorphic ego of Banner. The Hulk will always be one of the most multifaceted and misunderstood heros of comic books. He is definitely a reflection of our society.

It sounds pretty good, and I'm really liking the changes they're proposing here (and the bits of Kirbyesque tech sprinkled about).
Definitely the first Season One book I'm truly excited for. I'll definitely be looking forward to this.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!
I'm VERY curious if we'll see the Hulk that transforms when the sun goes down or the classic angry one.
I'm a big Van Lente fan so I'll be getting this. I'm also enjoying the new artists that the season 1 announcements are introducing me to.
Looking forward to the new Kid Loki book & Morbius.
This is the first Season One that I am for sure getting. I love Hulk![]()
