    Default Nightwing #4 Preview/Discussion SPOILERS

    http://comics.ign.com/articles/121/1214929p1.html

Look at that second page, that is exactly why I want Trevor McCarthy on the book.

But, alas, my wants go unheard. Oh well... I wish they'd give him at least the covers, as I really dislike Barrow's covers and the Gates of Gotham ones McCarthy did were awesome.

Wow. I agree completely, that second page looks great.

Although I kinda like the covers...

Don't get me wrong, some are alright in my book. I liked the cover to #3. But I just am not really a fan of the coloring off his pencils (no inking to the image) and find the composition in some to be dull

Easily the best preview so far. Its just spooky how right Trevor McCarthy is for this book. Plus the the banter between Dick and Babs. Man i just can't wait for this one.

    Yeah, I really loved that.

and I guess the preview gives a reason as to why there are two Nightwings on the cover

FHIZ is spot on, this guy should draw the book.
Don't get me wrong, i do like Barrows, but its a shame when the fill-in artist is a better fit for the comic.

Man, that's some pretty art right there.

And I think that I prefer how Babs is being portrayed here than in her own book.
Comic Books are fun, Comic Book fans not so much.

Personally, I think the 3rd page with Babs and Dick's descent makes a better argument for making this dude the regular. He differentiates their movement well; his fight scenes are generally very well sequenced too. Barrows, not as much so, IMO.

All the pages makes a great argument for making this dude the regular. They're all just great . Brings a certain energy too to the title, a sense of fun. Which to me is what Nightwing should be, and exactly what this title could use on a regular basis. Plus Higgins and McCarthy seem to have a good synergy together.

Yeah, McCarthy fits the character so well. Barrows is a good artist, but I feel like he'd be better suited for someone with actual super powers.

Or even Batman. Barrows does power good, which would be great for someone like Batman. Someone who's suppose to comes off as a power house of a man, with usually a grim look on his face and a striking presence. Nightwing, not so much. Nightwing's the fun one.
No don't get me wrong, these boots to the face are cool, the ripping off a windshield is cool, swinging through an awesome background with a striking and solemn look is cool. All of that looks good, this looks good, but at the same does it look very Nightwing. I don't know. This though, now that looks like vintage Nightwing. To me anyway.

Jesus, that what Nightwing is people! He's suppose to have a sh*t-eating grin while in the sky! He's like a dog with his head out the car window; it suppose to be a thrill!

I got to say, I really enjoy the way McCarthy draws Babs in and out of costume.
