I'd like to think he is working on something new with Jack Kirby right now.

Joe and Jack are together again. I wonder what they'll create this time.

    Default A comic great!

My favorite Joe Simon story is from the Comicbook Makers. Mr. Simon talks about how a publisher decided that a particular comic was successful because of a big explosion on panel three of the story. So, now he decreed, all stories had to have a big explosion in the third panel.

The story goes on and I would encourage any one who hasn't read Comicbook Makers to read it. There is a lot of insight into the early industry that you don't find any where else.

Thank you Joe Simon for sharing your talent with us!

At least Joe Simon lived long enough to see Captain America be a box office hit. Does anybody know if he liked the movie or not?
