HnI is just awesome.

Morikawa's artwork is crisp, incredibly kinetic and has just the right amount of detail, the gags are ridiculous, the characters are fun and holy crap he's writing about boxing for 20 years straight and it still hasn't gotten boring???

it's a great manga but somehow i feel like its best days are behind it. none of the recent fights have really entertained me at all.

He needs to move the story already.

I mean, Takamura hasn't gone after a new title since Volume 61, and he's only one-third of the way towards his final objective. Meanwhile, Ippo has been sitting on that Japanese title for a whopping SIXTY-THREE volumes!

I have only watched the old anime(The Fighting)....Gotta say...one can watch it over and over again and never get bored. I am watching the old Challenger Series....dunno if theres a new one.

Why not read the manga ? The anime is great adaptation but manga is many volumes ahead.

Sendo loses to Ippo for a second time at chapter.. lets see..266. The manga currently has more than 900 chapters so that's a lot of material to go through. Happy reading.
