Brilliant. This book is just brilliant. I love AV, and fables etc. but the beauty of this book is its so clever and interesting without having to try. Like they said, some of those relationships between the authors referenced so far, and the intersections hidden between different stories are so wonderful because they're really there, waiting to be found. Not jsut in the fiction that they are writing, but in real life. That's what can be so rewarding reading this book. Of course the story of Tom and his friends is great too. I read in trades but the reviews and hype behind the issues coming out now is good, I can't wait for more. And please, the slipcase thing sounds wonderful. I can't even imagine how this stuff could be collected in later years after the book is done.
And a spin off book :O
Reading this week: The Unwritten: On to Genesis, Hellblazer: Scab, Mountaingirl collection
I really hope they put out hardcovers of this series at some point.
Man I love this series. I do hope they end up going with that slipcase idea since that would be very cool. Some big hardcover collections would be nice down the line as well, though if they plan to do that then I'd like to see Lucifer get the same treatment.
This is really one of the most creative series out there right now, especially for anyone with an interest in literature.
And this series could easily have a spin-off. You could arguably do a lot more with some of what is revealed in those one-off issues.
Not fond of the slipcase idea because it would clash with the previous trades. Really hope they put it in one trade, main story first, and then the .5 issues. A fat ten issue trade would be nice. I don't relish having to buy two five issue trades at $14.99 a piece.
I wonder if it will be the OGN of the Tommy Taylor books.
