I would like to see the classic piece that inspired this, anybody have it or know where it can be seen?
I'd say this image is "very loosely" inspired by Garcia-Lopez's...
That poster used to hang on my wall, nice homage.

Huh. I notice everyone has more clothes on in the new drawing, except Wonder Woman who is now showing cleavage and is no longer sporting the wide-load yo mamma panties.
Perfect humility dispenses with modesty.
I think it would look more similar if it had more of the characters from the original, but the homage is pretty decent.
I love the original image. Black Canary, Green Arrow, Elongated Man, Zantana (coupled with the big guys)...how could you go wrong?
Jim Lee's work isn't bad though, I just wish Cyborg looked more like a cyborg and less like a 90's X-Men villain. More Bionic Man, less Robo-Cop.
Seems like a rush job. Something WW's head/hair/tiara combo tiara looks particularly odd. And what's with all the junk on Flash's boots?
The original Garcia-Lopez/Giordano drawing looks fantastic.
Looks pretty cool. I still don't like how Superman, and Batman's new suits look so much alike. Both have vents on their boots, kneepads, and those armor lines all through their suits, where the other members have a more individual design.
Still it's a cool Jim Lee piece.
"Welcome to the party pal!" - John McClane
Everyone looks angrier in Lee's picture. It's still well done, though.
Action, Animal Man, Aquaman, Batman + Incorporated + B&R, Dial H, Earth 2, Flash, Frankenstein, GL + GLC, Justice League, Swamp Thing, Wonder Woman
The Boys
I normally love Jim Lee's work, but this is pretty bad. It looks like a real rush job. Could Flash have been posed more awkwardly? It's especially noticeable if you look at it side-by-side with the original image, where Flash has such natural body language.
Superman's smile looks really forced; like he was in a bad mood and someone said "cheese!" forcing him to show some teeth.![]()
Looks like a rush job to me too. What is up with Wondy's hair? She needs Rogaine.
Also agree that Cyborg looks terrible. Should be more Bionic Man than Robo-cop.
