God I hate that new costume. In fact, I think I may just hate every new costume in the DC universe now. In fact, I think I may just hate everything about the DC universe now. In fact, I think I may just hate DC now.
I like the new costume. Hopefully this is a really fun title. Can't wait.

On the flip side:
I like the new costume...I like the artwork...I like the prev-pages...I am definitely giving this a shot. And I am very much in love with DC right now.

Wood nailed her. Like only good Wood could.
Igle is just insanely talented and I am glad to see him getting so much creative freedom on this book. I've followed his work since Firestorm and he is one of those artists that I always wish was drawing my favorite books. He even got me to pick up Supergirl, which is a character I've never really had an interest in. I was shocked not to see him on one of the new 52 since he always seemed like one of DC's “go to guys”. I am really digging the redesign and I am looking forward to his follow up project
Dat was a fantabulous interview...Igle is really d MAN. Luvly guywith a gr8 talent in art!
Just CANT WAIT 2 C ANY OF HIS CREATOR OWNED STUFF.
IMO, there's nothing there to hate.
I'm really looking forward to this book.

I like Igle, met him & enjoyed talking to him. But that character design is absolutely horrible. Don't like this new one because I'm a big fan of the previous Ray more than anything, I'll freely admit. IMO this Ray looks too derivative, in the same vein as DCnU's new Captain Atom. Won't be reading the title (not a fan of Palmiotti/Gray), but this was a good article to read.
Wow, those preview pages do look great! Quite a step up from his Supergirl work (not that that was bad by any means).
I've always love Jamal's work. Nice clean, solid design and drawing work. I really liked Venture - part superhero with a mysterious immortal past, part buddy comedy. This needs to be collected and a sequel made!
"You are here for a reason! Now...I don't know what reason...whose reason...but there's one thing I do know...It ain't to score touchdowns!"
I like the costume, but in hero form, you'd never know he was Korean, which I think is a big missed opportunity.
The character should always look Korean, no matter what form he's in.
The whole point of giving the character a new ethnicity was to draw in Korean readers and give them a character they can identify with, instead the guy looks very white.
Very, very white.
Radioactive albino white.
How come no one at DC ever thinks this stuff through ?
We did think about it. We thought very hard about it actually. I drew his face exactly the same as I did in his non powered form. However, with out pupils, black hair and translucent skin that glows internally.
The point is, he's not a "Korean Superhero", He's a Superhero who is of Korean descent, raised by a pair of anglo/hippie/vegan surfers from San Diego. . Part of being a Superhero is usually having an effective disguise to conceal ones identity.
So I gues it works.
Looks great! Loved the cut to the chase origin, now I want to see what this guy is up against.
And please can John Trujillo crossover here, or is he not DCnU? (maybe with a slight redesign)
