If they're expanding outside Gotham, it could be a great way to bring in Mr. Unknown, Knight and Squire, Batwing and the rest of the Batman inc. crew.

Since Rocksteady has done such a great job bringing Batman to the video game world, why not hire them to do a Superman game?

Because Superman is a totally different type of gameplay to Batman.

I got to ask, What is left in the Batman world for Rocksteady to remodel, that isn't already brand new in the comics ?

I mean they already brought back almost every major Batman villain in their recent Arkaham City game, so what's left ?

Well, there's the issue that the prison containing people like Poison Ivy, Bane, Penguin, Riddler, etc. got blown the fuck up at the end of City.

Hush is still running around, and they could steal Deathstroke, if they really wanted to.

Honestly, Hush is all they need to make a new game, given the fact that he's (getting around to) fully stealing Bruce's identity, now you can make a game where Batman has to face off against the police before he can clear Wayne's name.

A talented studio like RockSteady can overcome any gameplay challenges.

I'm hoping for a Superman game because frankly, it's overdue, the new movie is coming and there's not much left that they didn't explore in the Batman mythos.

I hope for the best, but that really remains to be seen.

I think the whole "arkham world" was more of tongue in cheek poke to the review that Yahzee did for Arkham City over at zero-punctuation.

I hope so. I'm all for a third Batman game, but I think the whole Arkham thread is done and it's time to move on from that.

Not really. You can use the exact same formula for almost any hero.

Just have Superman severely weakened at the beginning and later build him to his regular power levels, ala Batman. Along the way he can unlock more resistance to damage, super strength, flight, X-ray vision, heat vision, freeze breath.

Have many of his Rogues involved along the way. At the end, let him cut lose with his powers against the final boss. Drop in cameos from Lois, Jimmy, Perry, Conner and Kara.

Starfire can. She destroyed 3 tanks inbetween panels while wearing purple tape over her nipples.

You can, obviously, but you shouldn't. Batman is not Superman, after all.

Superman should NEVER have a Predator sequence.

    Ever.

That's not a Superman game then, that's a Smallville game, which isn't a Superman game.

So essentially, you're saying that they should hold off on actually letting people play as Superman until the very end of the game?

You do realize that part of the appeal of the Batman games has been that, from the moment you take control, you are Batman. You have gadgets, the skills, the detective ability, etc. In order to be Superman, you have to have that since of overwhelming power and majesty, struggling with a group thugs isn't something that happens to Superman, might happen to Clark Kent, but not the Man of Steel.

Batman Beyond. I would love to see Rocksteady's take on Neo Gotham

The producers of Arkham:city already said they were interested in creating a Superman game during an interview. There may not be a 3rd Arkham game.

I highly doubt that. They left far too many dangling threads and not-so-subtle hints in Arkham City to not already be well into the planning for a follow-up.
