You're misunderstanding how he is using the word. Inertia is "the resistance of any physical object to a change in its state of motion." So, if something with a lot of inertia is moving, it tends to keep moving.
A freight train has a huge amount of inertia; if it is moving at 60 miles an hour, it is very hard to stop it.
"Momentum" would probably have been a better word choice, but "inertia" is technically correct.
Very true.
I still like the idea of it all though as the return of the Phoenix (and Jean, if it happens) is overdue.
Hopefully, this will be the event that Marvel gets right.
I do think that with Wanda and Phoenix involved there will be some sort of reboot/retcon involved in the climax as Axel just can't stop dropping hints at the shape of Marvel following the end.

I'm really happy to see Iron Fist will have a big role in 2012, the year of the dragon! Danny's really risen up the ranks these last few years, in the latest vote for CBR's top 50 Marvel characters, fans voted Danny all the way to 16. That says alot and his fanbase continues to grow.![]()

I have a feeling this will end with the thorough trouncing of the X Men by the Avengers. This will also probably lead to the end of Utopia. Hopefully.
Although Im pleased Marvel isnt going to flood the market yet again with pointless minis. Im not looking forward to six months of the same concept creeping into books I've just started picking up again.
Ill suffer it in the Gage books because he manages to make these crossovers work. WATXM im on the fence about. It's a great book but I was liking it becauae it was pulling away from the same old characters in every book formula. I guess it depends on what he does with it.
Remender can do no wrong in my eyes and hope he will use the crossover as a springboard for more stories that are grounded in the MU mythos as opposed for having to bend his plots to meet the event.
