Okay, I know that DC is trying to keep some things the same and change a few things, but I wonder what Paul Dini would say to the change in his Harley Quinn character ?![]()
I had never read a single comic with Harley before the reboot. I've enjoyed SS so far but I can definitely see where the changes to her character would present a sore spot with diehard fans.
Action Comics, Animal Man, Batman Inc, Constantine, Earth 2, Flash, Green Arrow, Justice League, Justice League Dark,JLA, Saga, Stormwatch, Swamp Thing, Supergirl, Superman & Uncanny Avengers
To be honest, the only thing that changed was the costume and that really just looks like her Arkham City design minus the cape (though the cape's pretty awesome). Her original origin had her screw her way through College and then landing her a job at Arkham Asylum as psychiatric.
I hope people understand just because he's changing it, doesn't mean it'll all be changed. Take Batman Year One for example. They removed Joe Chill from the story and everything changed. Having some random thug gunning down Bruce parents is a much greater tragedy then having it personified. Now I'm sure it won't be as great as Year One but i hope people don't get nuts over small things.
Interesting, I may have to read some more of her pre-DCnU stuff.

I don't think they'll change her story that much. Back in issue 2 she said "I used to be a psychiatrist" so that remains for sure.
Now she has permanent white skin, so that's a change in her past for sure, but for the rest? I don't think they'll mess it up too muach.
Lol, I love this guy."I mean, her fan base is so strong, and all those Harley Quinn fans who constantly want to kill me for her costume change and everything else, I love them to death and I think they're going to be really happy as we continue to peel back all these different layers of her."
Well, if they "improve" her origin as much as they "improve" her costume (and the quotes are mine, I'm not saying anyone else used that word), I'll avoid Suicide Squad even more than I already have been.
dear suicide squad people, please give deadshot back his real pajamas. those new ones are hideous.
thanks
If comic fans spent as much time promoting comics they enjoy as we do nit picking and complaining about petty stuff like costume changes for example we could bring in thousands of new readers. I am a fan of the Ostranders Suicide Squad run and I also read the new run and I like and enjoy both. Im more interested in this Harly than I ever have been in the original version. I think people want to read the same five comic stories over and over again instead of stories that move forward
It doesn't come across at all as a new origin, it's simply fleshing it out and updating it a bit. Don't forget that Harley actually captured and was going to kill Batman once in a tank of piranah but it was only the crutch of her love for "Mr. J" that doesn't make her an A-list baddie herself.
Pull list:
Adventure Time, Batgirl, Batman & Robin, BOP, Earth 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, He-Man, Katana, Nightwing, Shadowman, Swamp Thing, The Ultimates, Ultimate Spider-Man, Worlds' Finest
