The premiere was predictable, but I like the set up. The main character, Bo, to me has a ton of potential. Her one liners were pretty corny, but with time she could be an awesome character.

I hate the sidekick character. What a bore. I really hope she doesn't get a ton of focus, but I can see exactly where it's going with her. She'll always get into situations she's not supposed to be in, and Bo will save her all the time.

The cops were boring to me. They were better when they weren't a part of the underground Fae world.

I'll keep watching. I don't think the debut wasn't all that, but most shows have to get their feet under them before they really get good. The premise and set up is enough for me to stay on for the first season unless things get really bad.

I just saw this on Sy-Fy's On Demand a few days ago (BTW, they don't bleep the swears on there, except the almighty "F" word, which they always redub as "hell" or "forget you!" LoL). Interesting show so far. I love Kenzi...she reminds me of Corrine from another Canadian fantasy show, the late, lamented Blood Ties. Plus, she's really cute.

There seems to be a strong lesbian undercurrent to this show. Bo is probably bisexual, as she seems to feed off sexual energy of men and women. I wonder if the woman who created the show is a lesbian?

What were the names of those two Fae cops? And their boss from the "good" side of the Fae?
Thus do I write the first chapter of my new scripture. And the first verse is "Let it all burn."

The actress playing the main character aint that hot. i think the chick playing the sidekick should have played the main characters, they should have switched roles. Some of the monster effects were cool.

And for the life of me i couldnt understand why the show was rated TV MA when watching it. Then reading this some of you pointed out the curses and chicks making out. While watching it that stuff it seemed so innocent that it didnt register. I guess ive been watching tv from other countries for so long im sort of immune to the "shock" of simple things like that.

She's not feeding of sexual energy, she's feeding off their life energy. Based on what we actually saw it appears that one of the byproducts of her power is the ability to sap her victims' will and place them in her thrall, making it easier for her to get close to them and feed off them, which comes off as some kind of psychic seduction. But it's not, strictly speaking, a sexual thing (sort of like Rogue; she often kisses her targets, but that doesn't mean she's into them). The fact that she feeds on women as well as men probably doesn't have any inherent relationship to who she's personally attracted to.

I'm thinking that's part of the design. She's certainly not ugly but she also doesn't come across as as inherently irresistible seductress, which makes for an interesting counterpoint to the nature of her powers.

Can't agree with the whole "she's not meant to be attractive" vibe.

The little dressing at the scene at the start with her zipping up, and up, and up was the kind of thing that is there to show "HEY GUYS WATCHING......HOT TITTIES TO KEEP YOU HERE."
Sexualizing someone that is supposed to be a juxtaposition of highly attractive powers in a slightly attractive person kinda undoes the entire set up of "not that attractive but attractive powers."

But......maybe I need to watch more. Right now it all feels like bad writing ( i love one liners but the forced nature of them drives me up a wall ) and nifty action to break the bored times.

I never said "she's not meant to be attractive." I said she may not have been meant to look like an "inherently irresistible seductress," two radically different things. A woman can be attractive (which she is) without being a drop dead bombshell (which she's not). There's a pretty wide expanse between those two points on the continuum.

    SPOILERS:

I saw few eps of this series season 1 when my sis was watching it online last year from Canadian channel. I liked the fact Bo might not be so heterosexual, that she seemed attracted to that female doctor. But of course they didnt dare to go all out with that when there is that supernatural cop that fills the Angel role.....
    Pull List:
    The Walking Dead,Fatale,Near Death,Storm Dogs,Happy,BPRD,XO-Manowar
    American Vampire,Animal Man,Swamp Thing

    No comments on further episodes?

Anyway, I'm sold on Ksenia Solo. She's reason enough to watch the show.

I haven't seen it since the first two episodes. Was kind of wondering what happened to it?

Kenzi going undercover to a Legally Blonde-ish sorority was the highlight of the last episode.

Bo is also pretending to be a detective now, which is where the monster-of-the-week part of the show will be coming in.

This thing quickly became a detective show.

I meant if it was taken off SyFy after the first week. Not what has been going on in the show in general.

Oh. Haha. Far as I know it's set to run on the Powerful Mondays block. Dunno if new episodes are being made by whoever did the 1st season.
