Has anyone here picked up the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate Collection Volume 1? $32ish sounds like a lot for just 7 issues, even if it has 300 pages of "extras." But at the same time I'm afraid this book is going to go OOP and skyrocket even higher in price.

Perhaps the price is worth it due to the sheer oversized dimensions? (Nearly 12 x 8.5 inches).

I think the collection is sewn. Despite its size, it feels very light. Collection is very durable, and Probably better than any omnibus I have.

I got my hands on a TMNT Ultimate Collection book today and its definitely glued. But its a really nice glue job compared to the Marvel HCs I've seen, in terms of presentation. A lot of Marvel ones have glue running out the ends of the spine because of shoddy craftsmanship. But I wish it was sewn. Glued kills two page splashes. It absolutely murders them. But I assume sewn binding might not be in the budget of a publisher like IDW, though I wish it were. The paper they used on the inside is amazing. Its thick but not heavy, and its not glossy so the black and white printing goes great with it. Plus the oversized nature of it is a thing of beauty. Pus I love that there isn't a dust jacket. Some may prefer dust jackets and fake leather covers with stamps or foils or what have you, but I really dig the printed covers on the IDW HCs.

Have there been any other Radioactive Man TPBs or HCs? Out of the corner of my eye today at WC I thought I saw a Radioactive Man trade of some sort at the Bongo booth. I'll give it a closer look tomorrow to see if its perhaps this Repository one?

It does. I would really like that.
It's a lot more expensive from Amazon.ca than it is through Amazon.com. (Like 50% more)

Radioactive Man (otherwise known as layabout playboy Claude Kane III) and his faithful sidekick Fallout Boy (aka former juvenile delinquent Rod Runtledge) have been making Zenith City safe from insidious evil-doers such as Dr. Crab, Magmo the Lava Man, Hypno-Head, Larva Girl, Larceny Lass, and Richard Milhous Nixon, to name but a few. For decades, fans have clamored for a deluxe collection of Radioactive Man tales. Now, at last, the Atomic Avenger receives the treatment he deserves in this comprehensive and historic archival edition of his greatest adventures!

It's 8 issues actually. The Raphael one-shot is included. Also keep in mind that these TMNT comics were all 40 pages of story, double the size of the traditional 20 page comic.
