But if you think about it, it makes sense. Why have we never seen his face? Was this going to be a shocking reveal before Kyost killed him off after fundamentally misunderstanding his character?

Interesting theory. Maybe he is the child of Cyclops & Petra. Petra was pregnant before she died and used her powers to move the baby inside Krakoa. Onyxx gestated inside Krakoa until he was to term.
