    Thanks Ian

What have I always believed? That, on the whole, and by and large, if a person lived properly, not according to what any priests said, but according to what seemed decent and honest inside, then it would, at the end, more or less, turn out ok.

I am really relieved someone else won this. With two quality themes in a row, my theme topic of "cats and pajamas" would not have been up to the level that i_mmmchocolate and Ray established.

The matter had been discussed, so I'ma do it:

    The Beastie Boys: Sabotage.

I can't stand it, I Know you planned it
I'ma set it straight, this watergate
I can't stand rockin' when I'm in here
'Cause Your crystal ball ain't so crystal clear
So, while you sit back and wonder why
I got this fucking thorn in my side
Oh My God, It's A Mirage
    I'm Tellin' Y'all It's Sabotage

So, so, so, so listen up 'cause you can't say nothin'
You shut me down with a push of your button
But yo, I'm out and I'm gone
I'll tell you now I keep It on and on dam!

'Cause what you see you might not get
And we can bet, so don't you get souped yet
    Scheming on a thing that's a mirage
I'm tryin' to tell you now it's Sabotage

Why; our backs are now against the wall
Listen all of y'all this is Sabotage
Listen all of y'all this is Sabotage
Listen all of y'all this is Sabotage
Listen all of y'all this is Sabotage

I can't stand it, I Know you planned it
I'ma set it straight, this watergate
I can't stand rockin, when I'm in this place
Because I feel disgrace because you're all in my face
But make no mistakes and switch up my channel
I'm Buddy Rich when I fly off the handle
What could It be, It's all a mirage
    You're scheming on a thing that's Sabotage
To escape criticism - do nothing, say nothing, be nothing.

    Because DonC didn't do it:

    Tim Minchin - Dark Side

I can have a dark side
    If you want me to
I can have a dark side
I can develop my brooding potential
If pain's what you want in a man
    Pain I can do
I can have a dark side, too
I can have a dark side...
    Hey!

I called my girlfriend up on the phone
    I said, "Hey g-girlfriend what's g-going wrong?"
She said, "I'm breaking it off with you
I feel as if the m-m-magic has gone."
I said, "Hey baby, what you talking about?
I thought that everything was just fine."
She said, "That's exactly the point
I just get so annoyed how you're so happy all the time
I need somebody deeper than you
    Someone with a little third-dimension."

    I said,
Well, I can have a dark side
    If you want me to
I can have a dark side
I can develop my brooding potential
If pain's what you want in a man
    Pain I can do
I can have a dark side, too
I can have a dark side...

I wrote a letter to Mr Sony
    I said, "Hey S-sony what's g-going down?
    I've got a record and I reckon it's wicked
And I th-think you should s-spread it around."
He said, "Hey Tim, I quite like your work
He said, "It's clever and quirky
    But I promise you this:
You could be clever as Voltaire
But it won't get you nowhere
    If you wanna sell discs
Clever never made no one rich
It doesn't appeal to the teenage market
    The teenage market!"

    I said,
I can have a dark side
    If you want me to
I can have a dark side
I can reveal my tortured internals
If pain's what you want in an act
    Pain I can do
I can have a dark side, too
I can have a dark side, too

    Jeremy has spoken at last

Daddy never came to my ball games
    Where were you daddy?
Daddy never came to my ball games
    He never loved me
Daddy never came to my ball games (Daddy never came! )
Daddy never came to my ball games (Daddy never came! )
Daddy never came to my ball games
    Daddy never CAME!

    I, I can have a dark side
    If you want me to
    If you want me to
Yeah I, I can have a dark side
    If you want me to
I can have a dark side, too

    I, I can have a dark side
    If you want me to
    If you want me to
Yeah I, I can have a dark side
    If you want me to
    Rock!

I also passed on John Cafferty and Beaver Brown Band's "On the Darkside."

I did almost use this, though:

I am I am I am Superman and I can do anything.

You don't really love that guy you make it with now do you?
I know you don't love that guy cause I can see right through you.

    I am I am I am Superman and I know what's happening.
I am I am I am Superman and I can do anything.

If you go a million miles away I'll track you down girl.

    Let It All Hang Out

    A preachment, dear friend
You are about to receive on John Barleycorn
Nicotine and the temptations of Eve

No parkin' by the sewer sign
    Hot dog, my razors broke
    Water drippin' up the spout
But I dont care, let it all hang out

Hangin' from a pine tree by my knees
Sun is shinin' through the shade
Nobody knows what its all about
It's too much, man, let it all hang out

Saw a man walkin' upside down
    My T.V.s on the blink
Made Galileo look like a Boy Scout
Sorry 'bout that, let it all hang out

Sleep all day, drive all night
Brain my numb, can't stop now
    For sure ain't no doubt
Keep an open mind, let it all hang out

It's rainin' inside a big brown moon
How does that mess you baby up, leg
Eatin' a Reuben sandwich with sauerkraut
Don't stop now, baby, let it all hang out

    Let it all hang out
    Let it all hang out
    Let it all hang out
Christ, do I have to do all the thinking for the entire fucking Internet? - Michael P

With meter and rythym and rhyme

I want it to speak of your virtue
Sing praise to your stature and poise
I want it to capture your beauty
The soul that's alive in your voice

I want it to tell of your wisdom
How the courage within your heart soars
But all I can think of is how I be lovin'
Them big, big, big titties of yours

    Oh, Hallelujah
    Oh, how my heart sings
    Oh, Hallelujah
    Oh, love those things

They bounce like a kid on a trampoline
They swing like a 40's jazz band
They stand up like a rock-solid alibi
They don't even fit in my hand

They curve like a pitch in the big leagues
They burn with a passion so hot
And that is the reason I can't wait to squeeze 'em
Them big, big, big titties you got

    Oh, Hallelujah
    Oh, love's in the air
    Oh, Hallelujah
    Oh, what a pair

Oh I need to kneed them like sculptors kneed clay
They dance in my dreams in a graceful ballet
I'll kiss them so sweetly goodnight at the end of the day

They're firm like a John Grisham novel
They swell like a wave in the sea
No matter what part of the room that I'm in
    They're always looking at me

They're soft like the cheek of a baby
They're sweet like the honey of bees
I'll never ignore them, I'll even adore them
Someday when they're touching your knees

    Oh, Hallelujah
    Oh, what a rack
    Oh, Hallelujah
    Oh, hurt your back

    Oh, Hallelujah
    Oh, on my knees
    Oh, Hallelujah
    Oh, double D's

    Oh, Hallelujah
    Oh, glory be
    Oh, Hallelujah
    Oh, set them free

Ah well, up to the next one to lift the level a bit again.

The cover and song I wanted to use, but I'm sure it would've caused me a temp ban. I don't care...I'll post it anyway:

Wang Dang Sweet Poontang by Ted Nugent

That Nadine, what a teenage queen
She come to town; she be foolin' around
She lookin' so clean, especi'lly down in between; what I like

Wang dang, what a sweet poontang
A shakin' my thang as a rang-a-dang-dang in the bell
Down on the street you know she can't be beat
She's so sweet when she yanks on my meat
    What the hell

    Wang Dang Sweet Poontang
"If you live among wolves you have to act like a wolf."

This one is a little obvious since it was directly based on the song, but what the hell:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nu3t7dHN2CM

    By Shane MacGowan (1987)

I'll be with them asleep and dreaming
I'll be there when they wake with screaming
At the hour of death then I will nurse them
To have a moment more to curse them
Watch the maggots crawl out of them
Hear the angels call above them
Watch them as the cold air sucks them
Down to hell, goodnight, God love them
If any should escape above me
Beg and cheat until they trust me
Drag them down to be damned with me
Laugh at them as they forgive me

    Mother's eyes are sparkling diamonds,
Still the moon shows no light
This rose is withered, may God deliver
The rake at the gates of hell tonight
    Yigh!

I wish that they could walk forever,
    On the earth, alone, unfettered
    Til they pray for consolation,
Til they beg for sweet damnation
Then I'll come and bring them water,
Bring them hope, bring them laughter
Raise their hopes so sad and sunken
Slash them up as they lie there drunken
Push them down into the foul mud
‘Til they choke up on their own blood
Drag them out before their last breath
To take away the mercy of death

    Mother's eyes are sparkling diamonds
Still the moon shows no light
This rose is withered, may God deliver
The rake at the gates of hell tonight
    Yigh!

    Mother's eyes are sparkling diamonds
Still the moon shows no light
This rose is withered, may God deliver
The rake at the Gates of Hell tonight

    Mother's eyes are sparkling diamonds

    Northwest Passage
    (Stan Rogers)

cho: Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage
    To find the hand of Franklin reaching for the Beaufort Sea;
Tracing one warm line through a land so wild and savage
And make a Northwest Passage to the sea.

Westward from the Davis Strait 'tis there 'twas said to lie
    The sea route to the Orient for which so many died;
Seeking gold and glory, leaving weathered, broken bones
And a long-forgotten lonely cairn of stones.

    (Chorus)

Three centuries thereafter, I take passage overland
In the footsteps of brave Kelso, where his "sea of flowers" began
Watching cities rise before me, then behind me sink again
This tardiest explorer, driving hard across the plain.

    (Chorus)

And through the night, behind the wheel, the mileage clicking west
I think upon Mackenzie, David Thompson and the rest
Who cracked the mountain ramparts and did show a path for me
To race the roaring Fraser to the sea.

    (Chorus)

How then am I so different from the first men through this way?
Like them, I left a settled life, I threw it all away.
To seek a Northwest Passage at the call of many men
To find there but the road back home again.
