Yeah, I do wonder of some of this stuff might be saved for later. Post Bendis.

Given there are 2 Avengers books and some of this stuff can come out in seperate minis it's possible to jam it all in there in 2012. But on paper at least it sounds like a lot.

I would love this. I really enjoyed Waid's JLA and FF. Marvel has many young writers that I think would do a good job with Avengers. With Waid, I know he would do great. He has the experience and the confidence -- man, does he have confidence -- to pull it off.

I would love to see them keep the three team format. I would only have them change NA and see them relaunch west cost. Each book would have it' own feel. The big guys hand out in NY and LA. If they still had them under shield that's fine. A two cost team to me would better show this. Then you would have secret for the wet works stuff. Each book to have a different feel and writer.
    Avengers -Hickmen
    W.C. -Slots
    Secret -Brubaker

I would also love to see icons stay where they should put wolverine and thing back where they belong.

    Wasn't Steve's vision Fear Itself?

No. Totally Different. Steve's was an actually Alien Invasion. I suppose it could be Ultron War Related.

Are you sure? The vision included:

    - Bucky and Thor dying
    - Steve wielding Mjolnir
    - Giant robots
    - All the heroes getting wiped out by an unknown figure (The Serpent?)

If the vision wasn't Fear Itself, it's an enormous coincidence.

Maybe I am not quite remembering but the robots were not the same at all. The FI ones were Mechs not that large. I remember pretty giant robots in the vision.

Well, the Mechas weren't depicted consistently in the Fear Itself tie-ins. I'm guessing Steve just saw them differently because it was a dream and blah blah blah. I'm pretty sure the vision was intended to reflect Fear Itself, but because FI was in the early planning stages a design for the Mechas had not been given to Bryan Hitch.

Ah okay. I suppose that might work.

    I think it's doable.

HAMMER will probably take 6 issues each of New Avengers and Avengers.

After that, I'm going to assume there are maybe 2 or 3 issues of tie-ins to Avengers vs X-Men, with the main event happening in the miniseries.

To cap off the runs, I think Ultron War and Drumm of Revenge will take 6 issues each of Avengers and New Avengers, respectively.

Then the new writer takes over at the start of 2013.

Dream or vision sequences in fiction often don't show the actual event in full or accurate detail. I haven't read Captain America: Reborn myself, so I'm going purely off comments on CBR, but from what I understand it is sort of open to interpretation. Anybody feel like giving Reborn another read in the wake of Fear Itself?

It would be karmic justice if his endgame were messed up by a crossover event.

Seeing as there are about three more 5 week months after February, I wouldn't be surprised if he could wrap things up by November, if not October.
Why aren't you reading Winter Soldier? You should be!

Man it's gonna be weird. I've been reading the Avengers since the early 90's, so I've been through some bad runs. I'm excited at just the prospect of something new, but there are plenty of readers who started the book with Bendis. Will they stick around afterward?

I doubt the succeeding team will be permanent. An arc or two, depending on sales, and then Marvel will announce some big name late in '13.

I hope there isn't another renumbering and I hope Luke Cage stays on the team.

If AvX begins in April and ends in Sept, there's very little time to get the Ultron Wars in before the end of 2012. That's not including a #0, Alpha or Oemga issuefor AvX if they throw one in. That's just too narrow of a window assuming the Ultron Wars will be more than 3-4 issues which it will more than likely be.
