CBR: Marvel Announces "Avengers Vs. X-Men" For 2012

The next massive Marvel event will be anchored by a 12-part, bi-weekly series called "Avengers Vs. X-Men" co-written by the publisher's "Architects" and drawn by John Romita Jr., Olivier Coipel and Adam Kubert.

In a nutshell:
- Phoenix Force is heading for Earth
- Both the X-Men and the Avengers think it could be headed for Hope, and want to "prepare" her
- 12-issue bi-weekly series co-written by the full team of architects, starting in March

Do the Avengers really need to play any part in the Phoenix's or Hope's story? Was Schism merely a way to engineer half of the books siding with the Avengers, since the X community is so much larger than Avengers?

Is it better that this is housed in a mini than if it were a direct crossover? Does this give you more hope for how individual writers (Gillen, Remender Gage) will be involved?

Scarlet Witch and Hope Summers in the thick of it all.....it seems Magneto's focus on the two will play out directly overall.
