Wow. He's been writing comics for about as long as I've been reading them...and I've never heard of him before.

Yeah, seems his career is really just focused on "children" labeled material until now?

Looking at these pages, I can't help thinking of the first 15 minutes of "UP"...

Anyway I'm honestly looking forward to the Kent's story a lot more than Steels, though it's pretty clear why their not alive in the DCnU I just can't wait to read about them again.

You've been missing out on some fun(!) stuff of his if you haven't been reading the DC Kids title All-New Batman: The Brave and the Bold.

I think the first issue of that run had a familiar guest-star

and he also showed up for a brief appearance in issue 10

the guy has obviously been successful in some genres which i have had nothing to do with but maybe he can bring some of that fun to a more adult book. i'm willing to give it a shot.

I kinda enjoy the art from the first back up as opposed to the Chris Cross stuff.

Would be checking this out, but Steel deserves his own book.

What better way for him to get his own book than by being paired with one of the premiere books of the relaunch?

I don't think Steel could sustain a regular series on his own (a mini-series, yes). I like him for an anthology backup though.

How long did his solo-series from the 1990's last for?

And would love to see a Steel and Cyborg team-up.

When he was talking about " . . . the scene will shift to a pair of backup stories set years ago in Smallville," I don't think he was talking about that television show.
