Dark Horse Presents for 2.99 seems like a pretty good deal. Too bad I hate reading comics on a screen.

Yes, very thankful Travis took our concerns to heart. I didn't really want to switch to DCBS.

Damn. 1.99 and .99 is what digital singles should cost.

Think again. The back issues of DHP are on their reader now for $3.99 a pop. I could see a price drop on these issues from the $7.99 price tag but I doubt it will be much.

We have chosen to release all new single-issue comics digitally for the price of $2.99 for the first month, dropping to our standard digital pricing of $1.99 after that.
That's probably where the catch is regarding DHP.

I was actually excited when I thought Dark Horse was going to have new titles for .99 to 1.99. I quit buying comics almost 2 years ago due to money and I thought this might be my way back in. $1.99 or 99 cents for Hellboy, BPRD, the Goon or Conan? I am in! Guess I just wait a few more years.

You could just wait a month after their release.

While it certainly seems some people are missing the point, this is good for the brick and mortar stores.

Not when people don't set foot in one anyway for whatever reason (distance, preference etc.) and would rather buy them CHEAP digitally.

Brick & Mortar stores are dying a slow death in this economy, we all know it...
Comics still reading: Floppies- Saga TPB- GI Joe ARAH, Sixth Gun, Hawkeye, Usagi Yojimbo. DC nu52 is unreadable...

Actually they aren't, people who are making these statements are clearly illustrating how over priced comics are becoming and was hoping this new pricing could finally begin the route of making things more accessible for them, aka the customer.
