hey Tom, there is a pretty good showing of Brits in the Marvel U these days, any chance of something ongoing for Captain Britain in the near future, a Union Jack appearance would be nice too, but thats just me being greedy, cheers.

i'd heard that he was in an upcoming issue, dare we hope he'll be a regular?

I'd love CB to become a regular on another team and I really like Kelly Sue DeConnick.....surely it can't be worse that what we've suffered lately.

Speaking of which...when exactly is Secret Avengers # 37 out.....some places say this week, some say next and Marvel.com doesn't say anything!

Plausibly. Although to overthrow The Vixen you'd really have to establish her and her network first. Otherwise it would have no real impact.

You know, a bit like why no STATUS QUO CHANGING MEGA EVENT at Marvel has really worked since Secret Invasion. Because you actually have to establish a status quo over a long time in order for changing it to have any impact. :)

I'd like to see Slaymaster though. New or Old.

Black Air are great. But again I think you'd need to introduce them much later. Black Air worked because WHO were well established for like 5 years of continuity. Their sudden disappearance, and the hostile takeover of Black Air, had impact because of that. On the surface they were just a more ruthlessly efficient version of WHO. That's how the presented themselves. But behind the scenes had their own agenda.

Always annoys e wjen they do. The Wrecking Crew are so incredibly devoid of any personality. They're just the lazy go to when nobody can think of a proper villain to use.

Black Tom is a great character. And while I'm not sure if they have the rights to use the Juggernaut he could stand on his own.

Well both have a connection. St Hubbins in particular for Wisdom.

However, I thought it was always at least implied that when Sat-yr-9 had Nigel Frobisher morphed into The Vixen she took control of her interests through him. Which might explain how she eventually wormed her way into the Hellfire Club.

That's a fair point, actually. I'd love to see The Bane established as a full on Captain Britain and MI13 adversary. Technically wherever they go the Green Knight should be creating new Knights of Pendragon... but like Marvel US are ever going to revive that! :(

Impressive, no. I actually bid on it while it was still under £50. That did not last. :) It's an amazing piece. THE iconic cover of The Daredevils for me.

I was going to write a long arse story of what i think they should do but instead just bring back the old Slaymaster pissed off and yet intrigued that Brian killed him so he ups his game by finding and joining the Vixen and taking the new Slaymaster under he's wing to train him.

It's listed as Reserve not Met, so I'm figuring this item was relisted. Makes you wonder what the reserve actually IS on the auction.

Of course, if this were a TV project you could just introduce the original Slaymaster. His blinding of Betsy is something you would HAVE to make use of.

Yes ! I hate it when people reserve a price on an item then let the bidding start low ! Maybe he was not clear on its value then add a reserve as it went on

UPDATE reserve now gone as the cover has hit £500.00 ! like I said, silly money ! (hoping it go's for £616.00)

St Hubbins? As in the Patron Saint of Quality Footwear? Emma Steed's a bit much too, better than John Peel I suppose.

Talking of Emma, here's Betsy wearing a Peelesque catsuit on the cover of X Men NOW #1:

Like the new look, hope it sticks. It's about time she got a pair of trousis.

did you read her motion comic? she had a very obvious british accent; if that counts for anything. i think it's far time that the UK-verse claimed her. it needs more characters like this; that can cross over/become popular. Captain Britain, while a great character, isn't going to cut it. Nightcrawler returning would help, as well. he's one of the more popular mutants, apparently.

Sweet. I'll need to check that issue out.

Talking of pestering, has anyone else been posting questions to the Fearless Defenders creative team Cullen Bunn and Will Sliney? I noticed that James has. I asked about any future involvement of British characters. The answer I got was a strong maybe. And Cullen has obviously thought about Elsa Bloodstone at some point for the team. James mentioned Lionheart and Motormouth. Both would be interesting additions and fantastic British representatives.

Here's hoping for the future then.
