It really did make an impression on me. I've only read comics seriously for 4.5 years. I got into Captain Britain and MI:13 because it was Secret Invasion Tie-In and a new #1. Then I simply had to read everything else Captain Britain and Wisdom ever appeared in.

I still need to get into the 1990s Marvel UK books. They are difficult to find at American conventions. What websites have the best deals on them? Whats a good comic to start with?

In fact, let me get the ball rolling (taking an idea touched upon at the end of the previous thread), if Marvel were to relaunch and re-vamp an MI:13 book with a new cast (no more then 8 members, and ALL have to British or British related, the one compulsory member is Pete Wisdom):

My choice:

1) Pete Wisdom
2) Union Jack (I just want Joey in a title!)
3) Dark Angel
4) Motormouth
5) Killpower
6) Chamber (or I would if he wasn't being used by Gage, or he could be on 2 teams which seems the done thing, he IS a Brit though...)
7)Digitek
8) Sir Gawain (find a way to bring him back!)

I wouldn't mind having Death's Head II on a new MI13 line-up. He isn't really the type of character that would join the team but he's a great character. There has to be a way to make it work.

I'd defo want Elsa on there.....I just think without the 'clean cut' heroes (and I use that term loosely) I think Wisdom would steer the team down a darker path...

I would suggest starting with Knights of Pendragon. It featured Brian though in a supporting role for the most part. The real KoP characters are all tied into a rather splendid somewhat Celtic nature mythology, remnisient of Holdstock's Mythago Wood books. Written by Abnett and Lanning, and quite unlike anything else published then or since.

There was a TPB about 18 months back reprinting the first half of the series.

Thats the first series. It was relaunched and the second was utter dross IMHO.

Thanks for starting the original thread. You did much for Captain Britain, MI13 and Marvel UK over the years. At least CB is going to have new adventures soon. I am hoping the Black Knight turns up somewhere.

This is awesome, I also like the idea of bringing Sir Gawain back...I've never read a marvel story with him but his legends are cool.

My new MI13 line-up would be Pete Wisdom, Spitfire, Union Jack, Elsa Bloodstone, Dark Angel, Kylun and Red Dragon from the Wisdom series. That would be some cool reading.

I'll definitely get that. Is there anything else that's really good? I'm a big fan of superheroes in high concept sci-fi and fantasy stories.
