Sorry to (now) triple-post, but now this whole event is kicking off and so on, I think it's a good time to ask.

Do we think Exorcism will be semi-standalone? I'm guessing the majority of what's come out this year has been linked quite heavily to events I've not yet been privy to (I'm halfway through the Frogs right now), but are some of the titles fairly stand-alone or at least spoiler-free?

    P.S. Ash <3

According to Cameron Stewart, "it's fairly standalone".

Hm. I see. Well, I'll just have to get it and find out. If I spoil something for myself (which it's hard not to with Hellboy/B.P.R.D.), then so be it.

It sounds like it has connections to 1947 so maybe you should check that and 1946 out.

Great :p Was kinda going to hold out to see if they end up in a HC down the line, so I might end up just reading Exorcism when it comes, going "Oh, right" and then doing so again once I'm up to speed and once we know what'll happen with 46/47/49(?).

I just want some Ash :p

I really wish I knew what was going on with 1948, just because I've been anticipating it since I read Mike's tease it the 1947 trade afterword. And I really clicked with the characters. It seems like it's on its way, (especially with certain recent developments you won't know about and I don't want to spoil!) but with the mass of stuff coming out this year, I feel like it might get pushed into 2013. I hope not though.

I skimmed it earlier; saw no mention of Exorcism, and was greeted with PoF/HoE spoilers. :(

I would avoid most interviews unless they claim to be spoiler free. Many of the BPRD stories are tied directly with previous ones so any interviews will probably contain a few spoilers.

True, but it just kinda felt a bit misleading - Exorcism #1's cover as the header (with no mention of it beyond saying it's coming out), and I ended up reading some spoilers for the end of PoF. :(

Another preview from Cameron Stewart's Twitter (brought to my attention by http://bprd.centerblog.net/):

I'm going to spend an hour or so running around giggling.

Forbidden Planet (the .com one, not the .co.uk one - but still a UK store) now have Exorcism #1 for pre-order. I just put my pre-order down. Hehehehehehehe.

Ash will be mine soon! <3

oKay...this might push me into finally getting the Kindle Fire- if these are e-book available- and the rest of the Hellboyverse is too, I'll be buying one quick!
To have it all so readily available would in fantastic!

As to upcoming, the Excorcism mini looks okay- and we might get a real recurring characters in Ashley Strode- but what i want tp read is...

May 2012 - B.P.R.D. Hell on Earth*: The Transformation of J. H. O'Donnell, pairing Mike Mignola with Scott Allie again for "the discovery of what drove the Bureau's expert on ancient foes to near madness after a mission with Hellboy twenty-four years earlier. This supernatural thrill ride features art by B.P.R.D. newcomer Max Fiumara (Amazing Spider-Man) and a cover by Becky Cloonan."
Max Fiumara's art is really cool too- stylized and clean- and he's got a Hellboy sketch up on his site!
    http://maxfiumara.blogspot.com/

Cheap commisions too! Might be getting something made from him- could be a rising star...or I could just have another cool piece on my wall!
Tension, Apprehension, and Dissension have begun.
