The NBA in general has a shortage of dominant big men. Having a talented power forward like Bosh and a rebounding like crazy Lebron should get them through that this year.

They don't need to be deep at C, but it would be beneficial, particularly for the postseason, if they actually had at least one who was any good.

They handled Dallas pretty easily last time they played.

I don't see Lin as being a guy who can work effectively with the ball not in his hands. And giving SG minutes to Lin means taking them away from Fields and Shumpert, which will undermine the Knicks already less than rock solid defense.

Dantoni had Lin and Baron playing together for a little bit in practice.

When asked about it he said the situation could come up.

That doesn't necessarily say to me "immanent line up change".

If anything D'antoni might reduce Fields starter minutes in favor of Shumpert or Novak.

I basically think too much has beeen made of this.

Well, Deron Williams didn't even get a full 24 hours to enjoy his big game. Lopez is out 3 weeks with an ankle sprain.
